Arturia Acid V Virtual Bass Synthesizer Reviews

Virtual Analog Bass Synth with 150+ Patch Presets, 350+ Sequence Presets, 2 Waveforms, 2-octave Sub Bass, Distortion, 17 FX, Resonant LPF, 64-step Sequencer, Arpeggiator, 3 Multi-mode Function Generators, and Vibrato - Mac/PC Standalone, VST, VST3, AU, AAX, NKS

Whether you’re a dedicated follower of the ’80s and ’90s house, techno, and industrial music styles or only manage to catch them in passing, one element — above most others — unites them across genres: the snarling, searing bass lines. These vaunted bass-synths are becoming exceedingly rare, especially in optimal condition, and you’d better believe the prices reflect as much. Thankfully, Arturia’s appointed their aural academics to painstakingly emulate the iconic instrument in exacting detail for everyone to enjoy: Acid V. Like its spiritual predecessor, Acid V’s dual-waveform design masks an impressive amount of nuance to crafting a wide variety of basses without deviating from its hallmark, analog-style edge, much to the delight of Sweetwater’s synth scholars. Armed with a 64-step sequencer, arpeggiator, multimode function generators, a slew of effects and distortion algorithms, and more than 500 presets across sequences and bass patches, we’re only scratching the surface of what Acid V has to offer.

Beg. Borrow. Steal -- sell your body if necessary, but BUY THIS!!!

I've used Phoscyon, ABL3, and the actual TB-303, and Acid V is light-years above and beyond all the rest. I also like Pigments for this sort of thing, but prefer Acid V.

I've read the manual, and learned a few things there, but most of all I just like playing with it. The operation is very intuitive (unlike any other emulations I've tried.) The sound quality is better in all respects. It's obvious that a great deal of forethought and consideration of "lessons learned" went into the design and implementation of this instrument. Bravissimo to Arturia and the design team.

True authenticity, plus immediate results, plus a genuine case of the sum of the parts far exceeding my expectations!

I own every software instrument Arturia produces, and a great many of their hardware products as well. What can I say? "I LOVE THIS MOTHERBLEEPER!"

This is so much fun and inspiring. Arturia take on TB303 is so good and with all the goodies Arturia added.
Arturia recreated the original unit as virtual instrument but also added sub oscillator, distortion unit, sequencer, modulation and cool effects.
