Solidbody Electric Guitar with Ash Body, Maple Neck, Maple Fingerboard, 2 Humbucking Pickups, and Tremolo - Whiskey Barrel

Andy Wood is one of this generation's most influential guitarists, and his Suhr Signature Series Modern T serves as an exemplary showcase for his vast musical influences and abilities. This solidbody electric guitar brandishes a torched, satin-finished swamp ash body, which gives it an invigorating feel. Carved into a comfortable elliptical shape, its roasted maple neck is topped by a sleek-playing flat-radius roasted maple fingerboard with jumbo-sized stainless steel frets. A set of Suhr Andy Wood signature humbucker pickups delivers an uncompromising blend of warmth, articulation, and definition. The Andy Wood Signature Modern T sports an expressive 2-post tremolo, which is bolstered by Suhr locking tuners to ensure hard-working stability and reliability. From the first note you play right through the last gig on tour, you'll find the Suhr Andy Wood Signature Series Modern T eminently inspiring — it's an instrument that ticks all the right boxes for a long-term musical partnership.

Honest review. There are few reviews on this guitar.

By Jason from Sulphur, LA
Music Background: 30 year Musician that still plays 3 times per week live.

I own one of these. I got it bc I wanted something that was all around different than the traditional.
This guitar is a work of art. Fit and finish is flawless. Neck is STRAIGHT, frets are dressed nicely, and it played a little high actioned from the factory. It may be bc of atmospheric differences as I live just north of the Gulf of Amerexico ;)
I love the neck, but it took me a few days to come to this. It's got an Elliptical contour neck, and I've never seen anything like it. Rarely goes out of tune too and I play with 9s. Also super smooth matte finish.
The pickups are a whole different thing unto themselves. They don't sound like a fender, Gibson, nor PRS.. although I can get close to certain elements in all of those. Neck pickup has creamy bass, while having somewhat clean mids and clear highs. Bridge is a little hotter than neck, and never gets shrill, although it cuts through pretty nicely. Pull knob pulled out thins out the bridge pickup and is kinda weird. It was hard to get used to as the sound IS quacky (a good thing) but maybe too quacky for MY setup.
It's got a lot of sonic choices, and it is very responsive and chimey.
Bridge is what you'd expect and trem works perfectly.
Cutouts/neck heal joint is a thing of beauty.
All in all, I'm used to Fender teles/strats and this thing took time to get used to, but I love it. It's unlike anything I've ever played, and I've been blessed to play a lot of high end guitars over the past 30 yrs. I do play live 3 days per week (praise and worship band) so I've played it on most every style but metal, and some nights when we get going, it gets close to that!!! :)
Hope this helps someone else cause when I bought mine, there wasn't a lot of this type of insight from owners of this thing. I had to just hope I was going to like it.
