Works for My Sax Mic
It does the job for me playing saxophone with a wireless clip on to my bell. The bad reviews should be removed because they don't actually rate the product. This is a good solution, read the specs before purchasing.
Wrong thing to do,AT
To be fair, the system works ok as an emergency purchase. However, Audio Technica decided to reverse connections on the body pack so that neither the previous AT mic nor a presumingly better quality non AT mic will work. Apparently there is an adapter (to purchase) but it was not readily available and why should it be required. That is the wrong thing to do Audio Technica.
Sound engineer
I have been a 3000 series fan ever since the first hand held and body packs we got 10 years ago. We have got a total of 20 wireless systems not to mention the 6 in ear wireless systems. I don"t even run them with a frequency management system even though I rarely run them all at the same time but have when we do a play. The new 3000 series have not disappointed me so far and I don"t believe they will either, since I would think technology will only get better.
Not ready for prime time
Come on, Audio-Tecnica. This system was released half baked. Receiver is very good. The transmitter is not well thought out. User must purchase an adapter to use from A-T body pack to A-T microphone! This means an extra cost... per unit. This means extra un-necessary bulk, weight, and stress on the cable. User must open body pack to turn unit on (no exterior switch). Mute switch is tiny. Do not go with this system.
Problems with mic connection
The difficulties caused by the lack of proper documentation when purchasing were costly and frustrating. There should be a warning that the connector for the mic was changed to a CH version. Had to buy a $30 adaptor to match the AT mic.
