The first 14 months of using the ATEM Mini Extreme Switcher was a good experience. Then we began to occasionally receive a YouTube Cache full notice and our LiveStream would either stop all together or buffer. This happened off and on for 4 months. (In doing online research I found we were not the only ones having issues.) Then for the next four Sundays in a row it was a constant problem. Our viewers were getting frustrated - but not near as frustrated as we were. Thank heavens we were always recording. In doing troubleshooting we found that the download speed to the computer through the switcher was at an average of 35-39. When connecting the Internet directly from the router to the computer it was well over 600 download speed - which told us there was a problem when the Internet went through the switcher. The problems with the YouTube Cache kept getting continuously worse so we bypassed Livestreaming through ATEM and went straight through YouTube, by doing this there was terrible audio with our streams (and many complaints). I had been installing updates whenever they were available and I was told to delete the software and install an earlier version. After doing that the software would say no switcher connected. After working HOURS with the A/V professionals that had installed our equipment we still had no success. Finally, we made the decision to purchase a new switcher - just after 14 months - which was a very costly decision, but necessary. The past month we have not been able to LiveStream at all - we have been recording and uploading the recordings to YouTube. Needless to say - our new switcher will not be an ATEM Mini Extreme.
