Awesome Choice for Beginners
This is the first ever handheld microphone I've bought for myself and it's safe to say that it's right up there in the top choices for anyone looking to try out their own handheld. It's got a lovely sound, and it's comfortable to hold after a few hours of performance. It's alright controlling plosives, but even better at reducing outside noise that isn't coming straight into the mic. Overall, excellent choice! Could definitely surpass some of the more expensive choices in the market.
Great Mic for Sax, Trumpet, and Quiet Vocalists
I've had great success and feedback from the musicians I have used this with. It is my go-to mic for Saxophone and Quiet Vocalist. It works great for getting a clear and usable volume from the musician especially on small packed stages without getting feedback. I often keep it on a stand with a cable ready to go for when those last-minute sit ins show up, it's always been very easy to get a sax player up and running on the fly with this mic. I have also found it to be clutch when dealing with quietly singing lead vocals on a loud stage. When their amp volume is louder at the mic than their voice, I've found this mic gives me what I need to get their vocal to sit on top of the mix, with less feedback potential than a 58. With how affordable it is, I'll be buying another one soon to help round out my arsenal.

Audio Technica Condenser Mic. AT2010
I am quite pleased with this AT2010 mic! It is a very punchy mic with lots of clarity!!! For the price, it would be hard to beat. I have another Audio Technica mic, ATM31a. I have had it for many years with no problems. But I couldnt find it for sale any longer. I think it must have been discontinued. These two mics are both condenser mics but the difference is the ATM31a has a battery and the AT2010 mic does not. Actually with current day consoles, they are equipped with Phantom power so the battery is kind of a mute point. So far, for me, Audio Technica mics are good dependable mics. I would suggest that you try one and see for yourself.
Great mic
Already have one of these, needed a second one. Cuts through mix in live setting. Projects stronger than my Beta 58, and is more rich sounding than my Beta 85. High end can be strong; roll off at mixer a bit to tame.
AT2010 mic
It's hard to over-rate this mic. I first used it to record my acoustic guitar in a live recording session, only hoping that I would get results that I could hear well enough to use as a guide for overdubs. It was a small room, and for almost two years that mic captured my acoustic that was good enough to keep for the final recording! The drummer sat three feet to my right, and the bleed worked to our advantage, capturing the acoustic and the drums; I could simply leave it on while playing electric, and the 2010 caught a lovely mono room mix of the drums. Of course the mic is excellent for vocals too, and... you need this mic (several of them maybe).
Best Mic for Low Volume Gigs
The AT2010 totally changed the game for me on my low volume acoustic gigs. I had been using an Audix OM5 for years because of the rejection it offered in a high SPL environment. Using that Audix with a full band was totally appropriate, but upon trying the AT2010 solo, I hadn't realized what I was missing from a great responsive Condenser mic. There was nuance, air and clarity that actually helped me sing and express better than ever before. I won mine in a contest from Audio Technica and Performer Magazine but I'm so blown away, I'm ready to buy another for backup. You certainly can't beat the price point. Highest recommendations.

Like velvet
I first started using AT microphones in the 80's, doing piano bar gigs. I went to headset Crowns, then EV's,
and , of course Shure's. I like this mic for the beautiful low end. It's warm and clean. There's very little rumble in my opinion. I must say, however, that I've not used it at very high spl levels. Just cocktail and standards. I really do like it. It can take abuse. (Like a Timex, "takes a lick'n and keeps on tick'n")
A work horse of a mic
This is my second AT 2010, and I am thinking about ordering another. I like the tone this mic created with this mic, and particularly enjoy it's versatility as a field mic for recording live and tracke music and for recording talk.
A Poor Mans KMS105?
I have owned and used this mic for about two years now. The sound is silky smooth and clean yet with a fantastic warmth. It's not harsh at all, but clean and smooth. I was hoping to find a nice handheld condenser, really I was wanting a Neumann KMS105 but I couldn't afford that great microphone. I saw this at the store and decided to take a chance on it. I have several other Audio Technica mics and I know their quality. Well, this mic is better than I could have hoped for. The sound blows away, and it's not even close, a Beta 58, Sennheiser e835 and almost any dynamic mic. I even compared it to my Beyer M88, which is one of the best dynamic mics ever made, and for my voice, this unit is the best. I wouldn't say it's a KMS105 but for the money, you can have 7 of these and would be hard pressed to say why the 105 is seven times better.
More than adequate.
It's what you would expect it is. A handheld format contender mic (yes, it needs 48v) that delivers clearer highs and cleaner falsetto than your average Sm-58. Considering the price, absolutely worth it for a female live performer, or a male performer who uses a lot of falsetto / head voice. Even handy in the studio for the singer that just has to handle their mic while they perform.

A good SM58 companion
This would be a five star for value, but overall it's just a really good all-around mic for under a hundred bucks. I bought it because we really needed a stage condenser mic for vocalists at our church -- a couple gals in particular -- who have soft voices and won't stay on the mic. Our SM58s are not too good for that. This does much better, but it can turn a bit harsh if you really get on it hard with a male tenor voice. The 58 preferred there. On the other hand, this is really a surprisingly decent mic for acoustic guitar, and it will definitely be first call when we have two guitars to mic (we only have one SM81). So overall, a great value for a versatile mic
