Xvive AT-2 Audio Tester Pro Reviews

Audio Utility Tool with Signal Generator, XLR Cable Tester, XLR Input Metering, Phantom Power Check, and Headphone/Speaker Monitoring

Suitable for a wide variety of audio testing applications, the Xvive AT-2 packs crucial detection features into a conveniently compact utility tool. To start, the Signal Generator can emit either a 1kHz sine wave or pink noise for testing the inputs of your audio gear. The XLR Cable Tester determines whether or not your cables are functioning properly, while XLR Input Metering measures the strength of XLR input signals. Next, the Phantom Power Check tests voltage, which is individually metered on pins two and three of an XLR output jack. Lastly, you can use the Headphone/Speaker Monitoring function to listen to input signals. The AT-2 features a rechargeable internal battery for maximum portability. The AT-2 is an essential tool for audio professionals; at Sweetwater, we’ve used it to test powered PA speakers, effect pedals, cables, DI boxes, IEM systems, mixers, and a whole host of other gear.

Bought 2, Sent both back as they had issues. (Xvive AT-2 )

By Ron A. from Roswell, GA

Here is what I observed in BOTH units back in Feb. 2026 (maybe they have fixed it in a newer release)
1. I connected a (known good) XLR cable for testing. (I tested three different XLR cables just to be sure) (and then used a Fluke Ohm meter to double verify cable integrity)
2. Once I turned on the XLR cable testing feature by pressing the (pink noise) button for two seconds, the cable test LEDs on the side of the unit start cycling. (both transmit and receive rows)
3. The issue is that the number one led on the XLR Male side (top left, LED) never lights up during the testing cycle.
4. Test LEDs 2 and 3 work properly. It is ONLY the number one LED on the XLR Male (top row, left most) that NEVER lights, ever.

The above "test" would seem to suggest that the XLR cable, pin one, is defective. However, this is not really the case. (remember, I used 3 different, known good cables and an ohmmeter)

I reached out to the manufacturer and they were not responsive as first but later did reply. They asked that I send them the unit for their evaluation at my expense. So, I returned both units to Sweetwater and was promptly refunded.
