Fender American Acoustasonic Stratocaster Acoustic-electric Guitar - Dakota Red Reviews
The newest addition to Fender's Acoustasonic family of instruments is the Acoustasonic Stratocaster. This powerful acoustic-electric hybrid gives you all you need to blend between guns-blazing rock and country leads and a veritable studio's worth of modeled acoustic tones, all with the comfort you expect from today's Custom Shop Strats. Sound too good to be true? Trust us: these guitars are worth the hype. Whether you're a Nashville session player or a Sunday music leader, the Acoustasonic Strat packs a wealth of great tones in its svelte frame. Fender's comfortable spruce-on-mahogany SIRS Strat body is built to resonate like an acoustic instrument without succumbing to the feedback issues of other stage acoustics. And its Modern Deep C mahogany neck provides effortless electric-like playability up and down the fingerboard. Acoustasonic's bleeding-edge 3-pickup system — a real Fender N4 Noiseless magnetic single-coil paired with a Fishman Matrix undersaddle system and percussive body-top pickup — takes you from Texas sugar to six distinct acoustic tones with the flick of a switch. Powering it all is a 20-hour rechargeable battery that supports simultaneous charge-and-play for non-stop musicmaking wherever you play out.
While this isn't an item we normally stock, we can still get it to you as fast as possible due to our great relationship with Fender. Go ahead and place your order and we'’ll follow up shortly to let you know when to expect it.

Great acoustic or electric sounds come out of this lightweight beauty. Awesome practice or live guitar.
Fender Acoustasonic Stratocaster
After my classic rock band disbanded years ago, I put my Stratocasters and Telecaster in the closet and began doing acoustic solo gigs. While I love my Martin GPCPA1 and Taylor 414CE, I missed the electric feel and sound from my band days. Last year I was thrilled to get an Acoustasonic Telecaster. It has been a great guitar, and I thoroughly enjoy it, but I've always been a Strat kind of guy. So, when Fender followed up this year with the Acoustasonic Stratocaster, I bided my time until I could get my hands on one from Sweetwater, and got the Dakota Red Strat last week. I played an outdoor patio gig with it on Friday, and I was thoroughly pleased. The acoustic sounds were great, especially the third position which adds in the body sensor pickup. But when I went electric, ah... there was that Strat sound I have missed these past few years! The neck is super comfortable, and feels a little deeper and more "U" shaped than my Tele, and the contoured body fits like a glove. Sweetwater did their usual superlative job of inspecting and setting up the guitar, and I couldn't be happier.
Well done, Fender!
