I left a review for the Mach 1 Pro double bass pedal and am now adding comments to the single bass pedal i purchased previously. I'm convinced there's an engineering flaw to these pedals as this one has also failed (BOTH pedals failed at live performances out of all places...embarrassing). The chain clamp that attaches to the gear that is mounted on the shaft does not hold causing the pedal to drop down to the floor. There are two issues going on, 1) There is not enough resistance from the clamp to the gear and 2) if you tighten the set screw it will easily strip out. Basically, I have a good chunk of hard earned income I spent for equipment that is unusable. There is no place I have found where I can get a replacement clamp. And even if there were, I would expect the same issue to occur. I was hoping there was an upgraded part that would resolve the issue. Truth be told that this is quite a heavy duty pedal that I loved until this happened. I have never had a pedal fail to this degree. Not just once but twice. I would highly recommend that you seek an alternative to this pedal. It looks and perform killer but put any type of repeated pressure on the pedal and an EPIC failure occurs. I recommended this pedal to another drummer shortly after I bought mine and guess what happened? Fail. He thought the clamp wasn't tightened enough (as did I) so he tightened the set screw and stripped out the threads on the clamp. Man, what a huge disappointment. I feel absolutely horrible for recommending this. Stick with what you know works.
