Clamped it to a old cymbal stand without the top and now the V71 can be moved wherever we need and is isolated from the kit.

I couldn't find this information in the product description, and Google Gemini said it wasn't compatible, but it worked. Roland continues to make great products with lousy documentation!

The APC-33 worked out well. However, we had to attach it to the clamp and bar we were employing with the stationary mount. We removed the stationary mount with clamp and attached the new mount with clamps to the old clamp and bar. We needed the bar to  extend it because the V71 is so wide. Just using the APC-33 by itself caused the V71 to not fit within the confines of the stands. The articulating APC-33 allowed us to fine tune the V71 placement and angle. You can see the finished product in the photos. The V71 fits nicely now. But, it would be helpful if the bar between the clamps on the APC-33 was a little longer.

The clap clamps to my stand and does not move slip or slid. It holds fast with constant drumming and clamps on clampingly. If there is and room for improvement I would suggest wing nut's also for mounting the device to the clamp and where the clamp clamps that there be some sort of grip to prevent metal on metal paint stripping. However, as A clamp I don't see how it could possibly be out clamped, it is simply incredibly clamps and clamps exceedingly well.

This clamp is robust. I utilized it on on old cymbal stand to make an Octapad stand for a fraction of the price of the stand that was made for it. I can also clamp it to my high-hat stand and use it as an implement on my acoustic set. It really is worth the money.

This mount is super sturdy. It holds up my Roland SPD-30 well. I would buy again and recommend to anyone!

I needed this for my Roland SPD-30. It fits perfectly and is a great quality. Just keep in mind that it won't come with the mounting screws. I bought my pad second hand so mine didn't have the mounting screws for it, but the screws are easy to get from a hardware store once you know the dimensions.

So I bought this based on it being a Roland product. I was looking for something to mount my TD 11 on to it for triggering my drum set. When I got it, the pre drilled holes would not line up with the mounting holes for my module. Had to drill some new holes in order to mount the TD11 onto the platform. Other than that, sturdy and well built product. Lots of options for adjustments.

Acquired this mount for the SPD-SX as an auxiliary percussion setup. Mounted on a cymbal stand—great tripod stability, positioning flexibility, and durability—this thing is rock solid!

The mount works perfectly with the SPD-SX Pro. I was able to mount on an unused cymbal mount from my rack and it works great allowing a lot of variation in positioning, without relying on a ball-type mount that would likely slip its position over time.

It does whatit is designed for perfectly! Looks great, and very sturdy. Why only 4 stars? No screws included. I mean c'mon Roland. I buy TV and projector mounts for half the price of the APC-33 that include dozens of different size screws. Because I do installs frequently, I happeded to be able to find what I needed. However, most people aren't installers. And I bet many people who are musicians and purchas the APC-33 don't have screws laying around. I took one star off of this otherwise fantastic piece of hardware in solidarity with the guys and girls who received this, ready to ROCK. Only to realize the sudden horror that they now need to run to thier nearest hardware store first.

So go ahead and buy one for yourself! And now you know you won't get screwed by Roland! haha ;)

I used Velcro on top of this and on the bottom of the TC-Helicon Perform to stick them together. Finally, it is securely attached to my mic stand!!! I'm so glad I found it.

This would be a solid 5 if the mounting screws were included. Instead I had to go to the Roland website to get the thread size and length and then hit the hardware store. Very puzzling indeed. The clamp itself is very rugged and swivels in every direction. Roland please, through in $0.25 worth of screws and save us the hassle.

I asked Ed Nystrom about a great solid mounting system for my ROLAND 50 module. One that will allow me to tilt or position the module so it"s quick to see and operate from my drum throne. This is very solid and versatile. It fits perfectly! Thank you!

I rated this mount 2 stars because I find it insane that the mount has to be screwed in and out of the
SPDSX. Why would you make it such a pain to install and move the module???? Why not have one that involves one quick release knob?

The clamp is good quality and can adjust to various diameter size stands. I didn't rate it 5 stars because once mounted the pad is not 100 percent level, it sits slightly to the left. It's not a big difference and I will keep using it. But enough not to get 5 star rating.

Great clamp. Very strong and easy to position. I used it to add the Alesis Sample Pad Pro to my V-Drum kit. A little pricey but works better than anything else out there. Just know before you buy that there are no screws included for the mounting plate.

I used this clamp system to create a shelf to mount to my laptop stand. I'm a drummer and wanted to minimize the stands and clutter on my drum platform. I control all of the loops and split tracks from the drum cage. My laptop sits up top. With this clamp and the little wood shelf I built, my Maschine controller and mouse pad sit at the bottom. It's a funky little set up but now everyone wants my set up. This clamps in its non traditional use has a lot of value.

If you have a Roland product (mine is a TD-20 electronic drum module) which has the appropriate type of mounting bracket as specified in the description, this clamp will allow you to mount your equipment to a cymbal stand, or other type of stand and expand the utility of your equipment. Previous to buying this clamp, when I would use my module with another set of drums I have which use triggers, I would keep my module in the road case which I use to transport it. The module mount on the Roland TD-20's is really not adapable to another kind of stand. The road case worked *okay*, and kept the module protected, even sitting on the floor, but it was not nearly as convenient as having the module properly mounted and at an easily reachable location on the kit.

The other nice thing about this clamp is that they include a *metal mounting plate* for your equipment. Since my TD -20 module came with a plastic mounting plate, I was happy to change it out for the metal mount which came with the clamp. I've never had any issues with the plastic mounting plate, but the metal one included with the clamp seems to be a heavier duty plate and a better choice. (The stock Roland mounting plate also fits in the clamp, so you can have a spare if one breaks for some reason)

If you've been looking for a way to professionally mount your module to a stand, this does the job nicely.

The only caution I would issue is that you MUST make sure the stand you use the clamp on is heavy enough, (with a low enough center of gravity), to comfortably support the additional weight of the module being attached to the stand where you want it. Make sure that the added weight doesn't make the stand prone to tipping over. (I'm using a heavy duty Yamaha cymbal stand with a wide base)

If the stand can not support the weight of the module, or other equipment, without being prone to falling over, you could easily do several hundred dollars worth of damage to your equipment, if you do not take the precaution to mount it properly. That would, by definition, include using a stand which is suitable for such an application.

Received the item in very good condition. With the mounting clamp i'm able to play my roland spd-s easily.

As long as you have a spare cymbal stand, this thing does the trick. It's not quite as adjustable as I would have liked (I think the rigid arm should be a few inches longer so that it has enough clearance to tilt down more), but it is set up at a comfortable height and angle for me. I'm happy with it, but regarding the price and this one minor flaw, I would look into a stand built for the octapad because the mount would tilt without restriction for a little more money.

I have two of these now, one for my VG-99 and one for my VB-99. They attach securely to a mic stand and keep the effects in reach with one less stand on the floor. And a much less expensive a solution than the PDS-10.

One thing i would have preferred, mainly because of how my setup is, i wish the angled bar between the two tightening clamps on this Mounting Clamp was adjustable somehow so that this mount has more diverse movement! It's a great mount, does what it's supposed to. I made due with what i had, but overall not a problem with it!

Definitely a cheaper alternative that the PDS-10, and if you already have a spare stand, this is the way to go. Using with the Roland Octapad nestled to the left and just below my hi hat.

It took probably 20 minutes to get everything set correctly to integrate the Octapad comfortably in to my kit. Haven't had to touch it since. Heavy duty construction gives it a rugged feel, and I don't anticipate this will fail in any way. Works like a champ!

I like it because it is solid. Unlike plastic, it is stronger. More secure and safe in taking care of the stuff it holds. Too strong, or maybe just my unit, is hard to mount on yamaha 7/8 mount. But that's alright.
