Ibanez AEG70 Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Vintage Violin High Gloss
Ibanez AEG70 Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Vintage Violin High Gloss Reviews
Looking for a great value on an acoustic-electric guitar? Look no further than the Ibanez AEG70 acoustic-electric guitar. It's ready to plug in and play right out of the box, thanks to its built-in undersaddle pickup and preamp system. There's even a built-in tuner so you can always sound your best. And because it comes strung with Ibanez coated guitar strings — which sound "new" longer than un-coated strings — you'll enjoy great tone for much longer before you'll ever need to re-string. Complete with a satin-finished neck for a smooth, fast playing feel, it's hard to beat the value in the Ibanez AEG70 acoustic-electric guitar.
New for
Beautiful guitar!
I replaced the plastic nut and saddle with Tusq...but that is a preference...nothing wrong with what came on it. Plays good and the neck binding was a nice surprise. You usually do not get the advantage of neck binding on $ guitars. Also got the hard case that was made for it, which made a neat guitar package. If you got a kid that wants to learn guitar...this is a smart choice.
Solid performer for the price.
Very nice guitar. Sounds great and I find the shape easier to play than larger dreadnought.
Incredible for the price!
Beautiful, great playing guitar with an awesome neck, beautiful finish, and sounds great acoustically or plugged in. I bought this to use as my "campfire guitar" and was very surprised at what a great guitar it turned out to be. The only negative is that the frets were leveled but not re-crowned or polished, and the fret ends needed to be dressed. I build guitars and have the tools so it was a quick job for me, and I'm sure Sweetwater or anywhere that has a good guitar tech could have done this very easily. Again, this is an unbelievable instrument for the price and would recommend to anyone that needs a good "campfire guitar".
Better tone than I had imagined ...
Love the tone of this guitar! I had searched for reviews on this specific acoustic prior to purchase and found them to be complimentary of the tone, despite being a smaller guitar. It was even better than I had imagined. For the price, it's a steal, in my opinion. To Ibanez: my only issue is the lack of a pick guard. Better players might not need one, but, alas, I'm a bit "picky" (pun intended).
Another Ibanez Jewel
This is my third Ibanez acoustic, two purchased at Sweetwater and one local. I have an AW54CE and an AW50jr with the new arrival the AEG70. Like their siblings, well made, great looking wood with perfect finish, and very playable. Obviously, why I have three. Just a very nice guitar for the money spent. I will not bore you with three paragraphs of accolades, enough to say that this guitar should not disappoint. Oh, and as always, I want to thank Will Crisp and the Sweetwater folks for their always exceptional customer care and service. I will be back.
