A real revelation
Before buying this, I had never owned a fiberglass, round back guitar. Heck, I'd never even played one! I had no idea what to expect. Having played this for a few hours, I must say I am totally impressed. The volume of this thing is incredible, especially given the shallowness of the body. Also, the tone and resonance are beautiful. Kind of reminds of my maple-bodied Epiphone Dove though there might be a tiny bit less bottom end than the Dove. The shallow body is extremely comfortable. Sometimes, playing a big dreadnought can feel like I've got a piece of Samsonite luggage under my arm. This thing fits as snuggly as a narrow hollow body electric.
The build quality and finish are impeccable, especially for a guitar in this price range.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with this guitar. Makes me think I'll be looking higher up in the Ovation line up for my next guitar

I can't say enough about how the crew at SWEETWATER. They went Above and Beyond to package my guitar and make sure everything was good. Love my Guitar. Sounds so crisp and clear with the rounded back. Shallow body fits GREAT. I have M.S. and it fits me well. Great price on the guitar. The sound is so balanced. Can't say enough about this guitar. Demo was not only a deal. It's great.
Neck shape is very comfortable. The cratsmansship is very good. Made in china. I've sent back guitars twice some three times the price of this guitar.
The layered spruce is the only thing that could be better. But even that is not even an issue. I would recommend this guitar to beginner or advanced.

If it wasn't for the buzz..
Disappointed. It could be so much more but falls flat because of the buzz on the bottom strings. It has great feel, the sound is nice, not boom like a dreadnought but it's a thin guitar that'd to be expected and it's actually a good even sounding guitar. If it wasn't for the buzz.
I use it for practice and it's perfect for that. Easy to handle neck, stays in tune (built in tuner is a great feature). This is my first foray into Ovation and I can see the positives in having one. If it wasn't fro that buzzing.
It is a nice looking guitar. It doesn't buzz when I look at it.
