Yamaha AC3R ARE Concert Cutaway - Tobacco Brown Sunburst Reviews

6-string Acoustic-electric Guitar with Solid Sitka Spruce Top, Solid Rosewood Back and Sides, Mahogany Neck, and Ebony Fingerboard - Tobacco Brown Sunburst

In the Yamaha AC3R Concert acoustic-electric guitar, Yamaha offers a vintage look with enhanced volume in the low-mid ranges, due to new scalloped bracing for the top and shorter bracing on the dreadnought's back. With a solid Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides, this concert-sized guitar sounds fantastic. It also benefits from Yamaha's A.R.E. wood torrefaction, a high-heat treatment that gives the guitar top greater stability and an aged, vintage hue. The Yamaha AC3R Concert takes full advantage of Yamaha's unobtrusive and versatile SRT2 pickup system for recording and stage performance. You get volume, treble, and bass controls (with auto feedback reduction), and blend control allows you to balance between the piezo and SRT2 preamp, for your own distinctive tone.

WOW!

I don't know Yamaha does it? This guitar is just butter. Absolutely gorgeous, balanced sound and impeccable build quality. This guitar looks, sounds, and plays like an instrument costing significantly more money. I tend to like my action on lower side, so I assumed I'd need to sand the saddle down a bit, but nope - it's just perfect right out of the box. Extremely comfortable neck and the ebony board is just great especially at this price point.
As expected the preamp is top notch and allows a variety of tones to suit any style / preference.

I could rave on and on. IMO an acoustic is a very subjectively personal instrument, but it's hard for me to imagine anyone not being blown away by the performance and value of this guitar. You're getting heirloom level quality at an incredible price.

I was on the fence between the finishes, and you really can't go wrong either way, but I will say the tobacco sunburst is just gorgeous and inspiring.

This guitar is such a no brainer for anyone looking for high-end performance that doesn't require a second mortgage. I'm near OCD with my instruments and prefer high end gear. This Yamaha checks every single box and then some, at a price point that is almost silly. Do yourself a solid and just buy it.

Easily the best value for a working guitar player

Having owned a Martin D 28 HR for some 38 years I thought it time to venture out and get something that I could plug in as well. I must have played 20 different guitars Taylors, Martins, Takimine, Ibanez. and while the 2500 dollar Taylors and Martins sounded good they could not come close to the plugged in sound of this Yamaha Guitar great playability, although I did lower the action the sound unplugged is like that of piano bright and full as you get toward the bridge and fat wonderful closer to the neck the electronics are simply the best I have heard . Recorded using the U 67 Microphone model blended with onboard pick up just wonderful and I did not have to setup a microphone. Just amazing and time saver. I will say it appears from the neck profile that Yamaha is targeting the electric player like myself very comfortable neck indeed also love the Ebony finger board, a luxury I am sure but at 62 years old I deserve it
