Audix A133 Large-diaphragm Condenser Microphone Reviews
The Audix USA A133 large-diaphragm condenser microphone is designed to be the centerpiece of your home and video recording studio. Its 1.3-inch extra-large, fixed-charged capsule is engineered to faithfully reproduce any sound source you throw at it. Whether you're tracking acoustic bluegrass combos, live orchestras, rock bands, or solo vlog and voiceover vocals, you can do it all with the Audix A133. This studio workhorse features a tour-grade machined-aluminum body and a foam-lined double woven steel mesh grille to handily shrug off plosives and air currents. Low-noise internal circuitry and a natural-sounding cardioid polar pattern give the Audix A133 a clean 40Hz–20kHz frequency response. You also get an internal shockmount and included Audix DCLIP for easy positioning and decoupling from the floor and stand. The A133 also features a -10dB pad and bass roll-off to help with hot sound sources and proximity-induced bassiness. Looking for a large-profile LDC that can go the distance? Sweetwater recommends the Audix USA A133 large-diaphragm condenser microphone.

Impressive results on both male and female vocals
I've used the A133 now for several sessions and the results were fantastic. The capsule is really something special - way larger than any other mic around this price. My space is not treated, but there is some diffusion. Using the A133 for tracking vocals, I heard very little of the room. Lastly, when it came time to mix, hardly any effort was required to position the vocals where I wanted them. Could also be a great tool for overheads on drum mic setups and for acoustic guitar.
