So first of all, I'm a Zildjian player and a huge fan of the FX series chinas. I've played several of the larger sizes over the years and currently use a 12 on my kit. It's one of my favorite cymbals for a nice, fast china.

I got this 10 to put into a stack. I've never had a stack set up before but lately I've found myself needing it so I grabbed this to pair with a 10 inch A Custom splash. And after trying a couple variations it became exactly what I was looking for. It sounds fantastic. Nice, fast, and trashy.

The reason I didn't give this cymbal 5 stars is because as a stand alone mini china I was NOT impressed with the sound at all. The difference in character between the 12 and 10 inch models of this cymbal is substantial. The 12 sounds like a high pitched china with real nice attack. The 10 seems to lack all that great character on its own. Just kind of trashy wash sounding. I also noticed the 10 does not have the random hammering on the bow. Maybe that's part of it, idk.

So for the purpose of stacking, 5 stars. As a lone mini china… I don't think I would have given it even 3.
