With three selectable frequency ranges, the Doepfer A-145 Eurorack LFO module is a versatile addition to your modular synth rig. At its slowest range, the waveform repeats once every several minutes. At its fastest, it reaches into the audible range (around 4kHz). And you've got five waveforms to choose from: saw, reverse saw, triangle, sine, and square. Synthesists at Sweetwater dig the ability to sync the LFO signal via the Reset input. Great go-to
Most of the time you just need an LFO. No hype, just useful. Audio rate function with a reset, so you can technically get pseudo-sync tones from it. Goes super slow and super fast. Lots of room to turn the dial, and flip the switch (don't get any wrong ideas). I really enjoy running the normal and 2x rate lfo's into a dual comparator and creating musical rhythms with that combination. Solid build quality, consistently useful.
Fun with Sine Modulation!
I purchased two of these modules to use with two Doepfer "SEM Type" filter modules (purchased here). The idea was to try to emulate the sound of an OB-1 coming out of my Prophet REV2 (which I bought here as well...and love it!). It's close! And WOW, this euro rack filter hack delivers a whole new tone and overall sound to my gear.
