Avoid these.

By MATHEW U. from La Mirada, CA

So to even install this you have to unsoder and resoder the output jack, which instantly makes this a pain. The support from 920D is incredibly frustrating as they are of no help. The diagram they sent with this unit was incorrect as it assumed you were using an HSH configuration (while I was using a HH). Absolutely no help on trying to figure out the correct wiring (though I did find it from the diamarzio site). Even when I did get all the wiring figured out the whole setup buzzed like crazy, even though everything was grounded and connected correctly. Do your self a favour and either pickup the pots and switches and do it yourself or use mad hatter guitar products terminator system. 920D was a waste of a purchase.

Buy the individual components

By Mike P. from BLUE SPRINGS, MO

There are about $ worth of parts here. If you are at all capable with a soldering iron, you can just order what you need and run the 5 wires needed. The jack will not work with the recessed RG style guitars. I would imagine it won't work on S line Ibanez guitars either. You will have to drill out the holes for the pots, as you would with any high quality upgrade. You will also need to upgrade the switch knob, which isn't included (it is if you buy the individual switch).

The overall quality of the soldering and fitment is top notch though. Wiring diagram is very simple, but you will need to know the wire color and orientation of your individual pickup manufacturer.

If the jack was correct and it came with the 2 switch knobs the switch comes with separately, I would probably bump this up to 3 1/2 to 4.

Doesn't fit

By Anthony B. from Charlotte, NC

Tried installing in a Ibanez RG3217L and the poles on the volume and tone pots are too big to fit through the holes in the body of the guitar. Disappointing.
