Love these sticks
I was a long-time user of Promark 747n sticks but recently decided to try to play a little quieter. Maybe because I'm not playing clubs anymore and don't need to bang so hard to fill the room in my rehearsal space. So, at first I switched to Promark 7A nylon sticks, which are nice but the tend to break at the shoulder, about two inches from the tip. This was getting pretty expensive, so I decided to give the Vic Firth 7An a try. Initially I was simply attracted by the price. They are 3 or 4 bucks cheaper than the Promarks. But, after having used them now for a few weeks, I'm a convert. They feel good, and they don't break.
