These strings were highly recommended to me by a log time dear friend who has been playing professionally for decades. On his word I decided to try them. I already own two electric bass guitars. One is a Rickenbacker 4003 and the other is a Fender Jazz bass. These basses are already strung and I did not want to jeopardize their sound by changing strings. My choice was then to purchase an inexpensive "knock off" electric "P" bass just so I could feel how the Labellas felt and sounded. I was immediately pleased at the smoothness of each string. They felt good and were effortless to play. It felt good that my old tired hands didn't have to exert much pressure to achieve a solid tone. I found I could play longer and still be able to cut my own meat come dinner time without the usual arthritic pain that usually accompanies a few hours of practicing bass. In conclusion, I highly rate these strings and will purchase them again.

A friend of mine who plays a bunch of gigs recommended these to me, and I'm glad I followed his advice. These strings are truly awesome, and can last for years from what I hear. You may have to file your nut slots a bit wider to accommodate the standard size set, but it's worth it. After the first couple hours the strings settled a bit and the tone that came out of these was great. Very clear, and almost as bright as a nickel plated round wound string. Also they feel nice and smooth, which is very easy on the fingers!
