Used on a Lakland USA Classic 55-64 PJ Bass
Strings E-G are fabulous sounding, stay in tune very well, and are an absolute joy to play.
However, the B-String was 1/8 inch too short, in the thru-base configuration they were designed for,
so the wound part of the wire does not quite meet the nut.
Still plays nice, but makes it very hard to tune the B-string, with a vibration-based tuner, like the Snark....
Overall, the sound/vibe is perfect for old blues, old rock, imitating an upright bass, and modern Evangelical church music.
B-string too short
Very nice strings. B-string would not work with my G&L L2500. Too short for through body, Too much thread on ball end to string through the bridge. Frustrating. So now I've ordered and extra long set just for the B-string and I'll use the others on P bass.
