Copper Tape Wound Light Bass Strings - .050-.135

La Bella's 750C-B Copper White Nylon Tapewound bass strings feature a copper underlay beneath the white nylon winding. The 750C-B strings produce a warmer, more supple tone and allow your fingers to move smoothly and effortlessly up and down the fingerboard. And the 750C-B Copper White Nylon Tapewound bass strings take advantage of Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) that keep these strings fresh until you open the package — an added touch we here at Sweetwater really appreciate.

Very nice feel

By Sweetwater Customer from CA

I have the white golds on my fretless and thought I'd try these on my 5-string for a little less brightness. I think they'll do the trick, but I haven't gigged them yet so I don't know yet within the context of the band.

Love the Tapewounds

By Sweetwater Customer

I had a set of Labella golds (same as these but "gold" instead of copper). But they just didn't have the grunt, growl and depth I wanted on one of my basses. These coppers fixed that. Very nice. This one is fretless I should probably mention.

The golds sounded very good on my other bass, (fretted, different neck woods too) so I may have to try these copper tapewounds on it too. Maybe it's a bigger beast than I know?!

I didn't realize how different sounding the two types of strings would be. I had to try something though. I guess that is why there are so many options out there. Never know 'til we try.

Also, my fingers have been a problem for years (way before I took up a stringed instrument). Labella's tapewound series of strings are a Godsend for my issues with painful splitting of my finger tips. Effortless playing. Also I think it is much better on the fingerboard of by fretless. Very satisfied.

Punch to the fretless

By John B. from Brant Rock, MA
Music Background: Always working at it

These strings have a lighter and clear bottom end and the top end is bright and has some growl. This is exactly what i was looking for in my fretless. Less mud and more clarity. Really like them.

La Bella Bass Strings

By Bili R. from Los Angeles
Music Background: Forty nine years playing Fender and Ibanez basses professionally.

The smoothest sounding bass strings I've ever owned. We'll hear how they sound in six months. Time will tell.

exactly What I Nedded

By Jeff -. from Lakeland, FL
Music Background: Experienced

I got these Copper Nylon strings for a 5-string bass I'm transforming into a steampunk bass. The color of these strings is a perfect fit for the copper and brass 1890s science fiction genre of the project. An added advantage is that tape-wound strings are easier on the fret board whether it's fretted or fretless. These will enhance the overall look of the bass while giving it a nice, smooth tone. They're noticeably easier on the fingers, too. Actually, I have two basses for the steampunk re-do. The other is a 6-string, which will get the second set I bought. This set is for tuning B-E-A-D-G. The 6-string bass will get a set of these strings plus a .145 string for F# on the low end. It'll look kind of weird, but it will have the voice range I want. Thank you, Sweetwater, for helping me make my weird-o projects true to my visions.
