Beautiful Tone and Quality Paiste
So I have been playing Paiste for years and I owned several lines from the Signatures, giant beats, PSTs, and discontinued lines and can say, I have experience in want I want to hear in a cymbal. I was shopping for another 18 inch crash to add to my inventory, and I bumped into the 602 line. The 602 line has been running for a very very long time and is revered as Paiste's highest professional line of B20 cymbals and it does show. The 18 inch thin cymbal speaks well and is great for precise and delicate players. Since this is a thin model it doesn't sound that high in pitch and it speaks then fades out quickly. The overtones are warm and using mallets on this cymbal is just perfect! You can play this cymbal with pretty much any type of music, but if your a hard hitter, I'd opt for the medium to heavy models. So far, I absolutely love the 602 line and plan to purchase more.
The only downside I have for this line and cymbal is that they are very expensive, and to purchase a good b20 bronze cymbal for a lower price I'd probably lean more on the Zildjian, Sabian, and Meinl lines. But if your looking for that Paiste Shimmer and sound, the Formula 602 line is the best choice.
