Great sticks for an aging drummer still out there playing

Music Background: hobby drummer, out there playing since the mid 1980s

I am a 69 yr old drummer still out there playing bar and festival gigs for fun, a few beers and a few bucks. Having arthritis in both thumbs, I needed something to help with stick control, grip and shock reduction from stick contact on drums and cymbals. Zildjian Dip sticks were my salvation. I tried wearing gloves.. not really much help. So I tried Zildjian 5B black dip sticks. THEY SAVED THE DAY..... I have more control of my stick work, no longer have any pain even after a three set gig (which is typical for our band) We play mostly classic country, classic rock, and a lot of popular 50s 60s and 70s stuff mostly in smaller clubs. So I do NOT need !to be really agresive on the kit. If you have issues with sweaty hands, suffer from arthritis in your hands or just want a stick that will help your grip.... these will do the trick

Oh BTW Sweetwater Music rocks and I am a repeat customer. This company gets it!
