Gibson Custom 1958 Korina Explorer with Black Pickguard - Natural Reviews
Back in 1958, Gibson shipped 19 Explorers — space-age, futuristic solidbody electric guitars that were well ahead of their time. The Gibson Custom 1958 Korina Explorer is a meticulous re-creation of this coveted axe, crafted using three-dimensional scans of museum specimens and rare collector's items. Every dimension and contour of this instrument reflects its predecessor; its 2-piece korina body, its solid korina neck, and its Indian rosewood fingerboard are spot-on reproductions of the originals. And when you plug in, Gibson's acclaimed CustomBucker pickups churn out vintage-accurate tones that are downright addictive. The 1958 Korina Explorer comes with a '50s-style brown-and-pink case.

BAD AX
I will preface by saying I have 4 Custom Shop Les Pauls. 2 59 Re issues and a 56 Gold top and a Catalina Supreme along with a Custom Shop Flying V. and more but THIS is BY FAR the Most Awesome to noodle with !!!! The feel and action are amazing and clear access all the way to 22. It is great to sit and play or Sling it on and ROCK !! I love the Big Fat Necks of the 50's. Not to much of a slim taper fan. I have a 2012 120th anniversary Explorer also but this Korina 58 is the REAL DEAL !!!
