Dunlop Flow 4.2mm picks
I've tried at least 40 to 50 different guitar picks over the years and find these guitar picks are without a doubt the easiest and fastest guitar picks I've ever used.
Don't be afraid to try it!
The unusual thickness combined with the embossed logo in the middle of each side give a good grip. It seems to give me more leverage and thus makes it easier to play. The edges and tip are super smooth and don't snag at all (my biggest problem with the Jazz III nylons). With a little adjustment of hand position it's suitable for softer strumming. Overall, it can do strumming, riffing, chugging, and shredding. If it seems too massive, try starting with the 3mm.
Flow Jumbo picks
I am a bass player and I like the tone on the strings these create make it's a nice organic tone thats good for rock or country, jazz. The grip is great, really easy to hold on to.
Thick pick
Very nice pick. I was amazed how comfortable the pick is. The pick is very easy to play with. I think this pick is great for all styles of music , but especially classic rock and country because it has a nice organic tone. I use my 3mm picks for metal rock. Don't be afraid to try it. I have had 3 major hand surgeries and I can use this pick. Most comfortable pick I have ever used. Great work Jim Dunlop. Easiest pick I've ever used.I am able to pick faster with this pick than any other one. I forgot to mention that I am a Bass player.
jumbo 420
awesome pick plays almost like my dragonheart.
Great pick
I usually use a 1.5 Dunlop Flow for playing lead. I tried these out of pure curiosity. I love the tone that these picks generate especially in the higher registers. Very powerful, easy to control and stay put between your fingers like they were glued. I don't see myself using these for strumming but for single note, double stops and the like, they are great!
Moby pick..
Started playing in the early 80s
And only used thin picks for more than three decades. recently within the last two years I have started trying picks from a few of the new pick builders on the market witch got me interested in thick picks 3mm up to 5mm. In my opinion the Flow by Dunlop is the worlds best pick 3mm and 4.2mm unbelievable how a pick could improve your playing I feel myself picking more precisely. And the grip is unbelievable it almost seems to stick to your fingers.. worth every penny. Those fancy more expensive picks don't come close.. I would give the 3mm and 4.2mm a try once it's in your hand and you give it a chance it will definitely improve your picking...
All about fun
There really only one issue with these. Since they are so smooth, and big, even if you play with the pick very parallel to the strings, you still get a bit SQUEAKY sound on the treble strings. I find this incredibly irritating... though most picks around 2mm and up will most likely have this problem.
Otherwise, it is amazing how easy it is to speed pick with these. It glides on the strings like ice. They are also just cool to have... it feels like a gem or a piece of art.
