Dunlop Tortex TIII Guitar Picks - .88mm Green (12-pack) Reviews
Originally designed to replicate the feel of a tortoiseshell pick, Dunlop’s Tortex line has since outgrown its iconic tortoise mascot, revolutionizing the world of guitar picks for over 40 years. Before Tortex picks came along, guitar players could only choose from a limited selection of plectrums that often came in only three ambiguous sizes: light, medium, and heavy. Jim Dunlop sought to provide a solution in arming players with a complete range of thickness standardized to the 100th of a millimeter, and easily recognizable by Dunlop’s signature color-coded system. Excellent durability, perfect grip, and snappy tone have made Tortex the industry-standard pick for guitar players around the world. Whether you’re a pro or just beginning your musical journey, you can be sure that there’s a Tortex pick for you!

Finally
I've recently been on the hunt looking for the perfect pick for my style. This pick is just that. As others said, the comfort of the standard .88 dunlop but the point of the jazzxl. Precision.I play a lot of Mastodon and Every Time I Die and these are absolutely perfect. Picks for riffs.
Best picks ever
They fit like a standard pick in the fingers, they have a point like the flow, and they do those two things perfectly. Best pick ever.
My new go-to
FULL DISCLAIMER: I still use the regular .88mm Green Tortex on bass & celluloid Fender or Dunlop Medium (I believe they are .73mm) picks on guitar.
I was using the plain ol' classic .88mm Green Tortex picks that I've used on bass for well over a decade with my primary instrument, a 25.5" scale aluminum-necked Jazzmaster tuned to A Standard (a whole step down from "normal" baritone guitar tuning). One day, I found a 1.5mm Jazz III laying around & decided to give it a try. It turns out I like to have my picks to have the same amount give as I was accustomed to, but really loved the increased attack & precision from the pointed end of the Jazz III. After a very minimal amount of digging online, I learned about the TIII & ordered a pack immediately. These were exactly what I was looking for, I won't be changing picks anytime soon.
A much better pick
I used to use the Dunlop nylon 73mm and thought it was the perfect pick. On a whim bought a Dunlop variety pack and fell in love with this pick. The slightly pointed tip noticably increases picking speed and the pick is a perfect stiffness without being unwieldy, it actually increases the attack and clarity of each note. Even though the Tortex pick is smooth, it has an excellent anti-slip surface that doesn't need a rough texture even with the sweatiest fingers. Gotta give a shout out to Tiberius Huiu, super cool dude and super knowledgeable about music gear. Thanks Sweetwater!
Bendy and smugdy
The black printing starts to smear off right away. Also, more than half of the picks I got in the pack had a slight curve in them.
