Get a lakland !
Recorded many bass guitars and always seemed to struggle to get the sound I was going for until I read that a p bass might be better simply because the way the pickup sits right in the pocket of the mix ahead of the kick , and below the snare which had me thinking , so I was originally going to get a fender pro ii but tried one at guitar center and it had the worst case of fret sprout I've ever encountered, so after digging deep into the forums , I heard of this brand lakland , I saw that this one ticked all the boxes , if I could make one change it would be that they remove the bridge pickup , because I'll never prob use it . This bass cuts through a mix very well with little to no eq needed . Sweetwater set it up very well and made this a great experience for me . I'll never shop anywhere other then sweetwater . They are the best in the business ! Thanks Jared Bobcean ! You are the man !
