The pick you dont want to love
Silky smooth but with the slightest pressure grips like double sided tape. Rolls off strings like polished glass without loosing lows or mids, and wont dull the highs like derlin. Perfectly beveled edge all the way around that dissappears where it rests on the knuckle. Cant imagine using anything else now.
The Pick For Me
I've sampled many picks in the past 6 months and the Dunlop 73mm Ultex pick wins my ear. I've sampled Tusq 68m both bright and warm. The Tusq warm were my 2nd choice playing just a little warmer but also quieter than the Ultex. Clayton Ultem 72mm are suppose to be practically the same material but they played brighter. Clayton Acetal 63mm sound good but are too flimsy and wear down quicker. Yep, the 73mm Ultex is my choice for Bluegrass picking. ;)
