My Go-to 12-String Set for Dropped Tunings
I started experimenting in C and C# tunings with the previous Martin M190 12-string set around nine years ago on my 1989 Seagull S12. I've since bought several sets. The current MA190s sound great in C# on my Seagull, are made of stronger wire, and seem to resist corrosion a little better than the M190s. Whereas the M190s and other untreated strings would clearly tarnish after only one hour of playing under my acidic fingers, the MA190s showed very little tarnishing after a few hours. Plus, the MA190s are relatively inexpensive.
The MA190s are now my primary "go-to" 12-string set for dropped tunings.
