Dunlop Tortex Standard Guitar Picks - 1.0mm Blue (12-pack) Reviews
Originally designed to replicate the feel of a tortoiseshell pick, Dunlop’s Tortex line has since outgrown its iconic tortoise mascot, revolutionizing the world of guitar picks for over 40 years. Before Tortex picks came along, guitar players could only choose from a limited selection of plectrums that often came in only three ambiguous sizes: light, medium, and heavy. Jim Dunlop sought to provide a solution in arming players with a complete range of thickness standardized to the 100th of a millimeter, and easily recognizable by Dunlop’s signature color-coded system. Excellent durability, perfect grip, and snappy tone have made Tortex the industry-standard pick for guitar players around the world. Whether you’re a pro or just beginning your musical journey, you can be sure that there’s a Tortex pick for you!

Love these
Playing metal requires picks that aren't too soft but thicker. These are great although next time
I will order the larger pack.
Great picks, my new favorite
Perfect picks that have enough backbone for solos and are light enough for rhythm, these are my new favorite!
Best pick's Ive used since I started.
I have used thousands of different kinds of picks since I started playing guitar. When I first started playing, I was given thousands of those cheap flimsy picks and of course I grew tired of them. I moved onto making my own guitar picks out of old credit cards but those didn't cut it because they always had a varying degree of thickness and strength, plus the embossed numbers were way too textured and became annoying. So I decided to go on a limb and buy some good ones, and I definitely don't regret buying these. I play a lot of rock and metal so I needed the sturdiness with a decent grip, so I got the Blue Tortex Dunlop's 1.0mm's. I love these so much. The texture is not slippery, and feel great to hold. The black logo and letters give you a slightly raised texture that gives me the perfect grip without being annoying. If your a beginner I suggest trying out the variety pack to see what fits you best, especially because the sturdiness and thickness has an effect on your style of playing, and you will find the right kind that fits you. I definitely plan on purchasing the 72 pack in the future because I know that I'm bound to loose the ones I have eventually, and I'm all about saving money.
Awesome Guitar Picks from Dunlop
These guitar picks are good to go in my book and exceed my expectations! Thank you for your reliable and lighting fast shipping!
Perfect pick!
These picks are the perfect size and thickness. They last a long time.
Great Pick for Rhythm Electric Guitars
This is a great pick when I'm not shredding on my electric guitars. Works well with Schecter, Fender, and Jackson. These are the only brands I own and if you want to send me a Gibson to try it out on I'm game. I would recommend this pick for intermediate on up players. I find them nice for rhythm guitar playing and that one more shim needed when changing strings on a Floyd Rose bridge.
Some of my Favorite Picks
i bought a few of these picks and had been using them since, probably one of my favorite picks ever,so it's nice knowing i can get 12 in one pack, and they last so long, the only time i had to change picks was when i lost one
AWESOME Service
I place orders for dunlop picks frequently through sweetwater and I'm always tended by Mr Andrew Malloy. On 21 Dec I placed an order then picked up my guitar and started to tune it. By the time I finished tuning my last string i received a phone call from Mr Malloy letting me know that my order was ready to ship and if I had anything else I needed. I was simply blown away by the service!
The picks themselves are great! I've used them for years
Tried and true
Sweat proof. turtle power.
The right pick
How can a pick blow us away so I rate it as all of Dunlop's pick they're good picks. For me, I want a pick that I can strum with and play leads with; I haven't tried all picks in existence, but this blue level thickness give acceptable pick and the ability to plays leads. I don't think theirs anything much to do to improve it, except maybe put some little bumps on it to help with holding?
