Taylor 414ce-R V-Class Acoustic-electric Guitar - Tobacco Sunburst Reviews
For over 40 years, Taylor acoustic guitars have made a name among players of all genres as a unique-sounding instrument with truly special tonal signatures. The Taylor 414e-R Grand Auditorium V-Class acoustic-electric guitar is a continuation of that stellar tradition and represents the midpoint between Taylor’s lower-end models and its highest-priced guitars. The 414e-R features a signature Sitka spruce top with V-Class bracing, which optimizes volume, sustain, and tonal balance. As with Taylor’s other Grand Auditoriums, the 414e-R has a broad dynamic range — even when picked aggressively, notes and chords ring out clearly. A driving attack really highlights the 414e-R’s fullness and projection. This guitar comes equipped with Taylor ES2 electronics for natural tone and dynamics in a stage-friendly direct out. Acoustic players at Sweetwater love the Taylor 414e-R.

fabulous guitar
I'd like to thank Michael Ramey for his advice and assistance as I originally purchased a 214 Taylor and returned it for this 414ce. This was well worth the additional cost as it's an investment and plays like it.
Fabulous Guitar
Having started my own Taylor journey with a 214e DLX (and loving it), it's hard to describe/explain what the jump up to an all solid, American Made 414ce-R is like...it's not about one being/sounding/feeling better or worse, I guess it's that the 414 just feels like "more."
The series was apparently refreshed in early 2023, and the 400s are the true entry point into your standard made in the US all solid spruce/indian rosewood lines, and don't disappoint. Like on all Taylors I've ever played, the 414ce's playability is 10/10. It has a bright, robust tone, with a bigger sounding low end than you might expect from a Grand Auditorium body. It's got a ton of sustain and plays as brightly as you'd expect. And of course the burst finish is spectacular and striking...I simply want to pick it up and play it all the time...
Try this one out yourself; might be the one for you. I certainly have no regrets.
Taylor f lop
I paid $ and thought it was the last and best ever. Then I noticed the treble B was jumping out terribly. This model has three screws on the bridge that put pressure on the saddle. A bad design. I am just sick. Tried loosing, tightening and changing strings still sounds aweful! Wasted money! Too bright sounding like a dime store guitar!
