This is the best case I've ever owned or seen. I'm a gigging musician. I keep my Gibson r9 in this case. This case is awesome. It's very durable, has a lot of space inside, fits a wide variety of guitars, has wheels, and locks. It's great. You won't regret it.

There's a lot of worry involved in checking your instrument to airline baggage handling and leaving it out of your site for hours. At least this beast eliminates the worry of having it mishandled. Solid case, great latches and TSA locks. Secure and tough...just what the doctor ordered.

This case fits a Les Paul like a glove. Rock solid and built to take just about anything you can throw at it.

This thing is a beast. LP fits great in the molding and it has a lot of other storage area with room for straps, parts and even a pedal or two. It is heavy though...

the gretsch duo jets don't fit in these. even if you remove the bigsby off to the side, the top still won't close. (see picture) i had to carve the styrofoam sides to fit the body. ended up ripping the whole styraform apart and just bought extra replacement foam set and carved it to the shape of the guitar. it sucks, nobody out there makes these kinds of cases for gretsch guitars and just ended up buying extra things for this case. if this method doesn't work either, then i'll just have to use mono case and carry it with me when i fly. fix this skb!

Solid case. Very well built. Got my les Paul classic safely from LAX to Osaka, Japan. Highly recommend.

Had a great experience ordering this case from Sweetwater. I was notified of its progress to my house every step of the way and it arrived when they said it would. My Gibson les paul classic fits snuggly into the molded soft material and doesn't move at all. The latches are solid and have small levers under them to open them, so the latches don't inadvertently open.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is the best protection you can get for your guitar. There is also no doubt that it is probably the heaviest case you will get, but that is what real protection is about anyway. There are convenient wheels that will make going through airports and anywhere else you can use them a lot easier. I also like how these are all designed to interlock so you can stack two on top of each other and roll through an airport. That is what my plan is anyway. My Gibson Les Paul fits perfectly and I will soon be ordering one for my Flying V. This case gives me absolute peach of mind flying with my baby(s).

This case weighs as much (or more) than my Les Paul, but I will certainly feel protected once I fly again. I actually thought it was a bit heavy to carry and then realized it had a flip-handle and wheels on the other side for rolling along behind you— brilliant! If I could get myself inside of this case during a tornado outbreak, I would. Very well-made, you can tell it's watertight, and it has ample space for extra cords and any other accessories you might have. (Once you close the case the accessories department is closed securely so you do not have to worry about them rattling about or touching your guitar)
If you are just driving from gig to gig, this is not the case for you. I'm sure Sweetwater carries high-quality cases lighter than this one. But if you are traveling by airline you can rest assured your Les Paul is safe no matter how it's handled below.

This is the most hardcore, protective case, I've ever encountered. I have one for my 2016 American Standard Strat. It's considerably heavier than most cases, but if you value the instrument inside of it, then the extra weight is quite worth it. This is a must for a gigging guitarist. This 4 latch version is even better than the one from the guitar manufacturer. It has a handle, like a normal case, but also has another, so the case can be carried, or lifted, vertically.

After visiting Sweetwater, (wow), flew from Fort Wayne to Charlotte then to Milwaukee then Dallas then Monterrey Mx. My new Epiphone Les Paul arrived well protected and undamaged. Great solid flight case.

Usually, I do the fight with flight attendants to get my guitar in the closet thing - major hassle and you risk having to gate check it. This time I decided to get a flight worthy case and avoid the hassle of arguing with them for every leg of my trip. After an exhausting day of research I decided to take a chance on the SKB case. I added a little extra foam in the body section because my guitar is not a full thickness Gibson LP its an ESP Eclipse with contour cuts and a little more foam around the side of the headstock area - the neck and headstock slid from side to side a bit in the neck channel. A deeper neck channel would help there but with a slight bit of customization it was fine. The guitar made the cross-country trip in great shape. The TSA locks gave me an extra bit of comfort knowing that the baggage handlers couldn't break out my guitar and do some jamming on it. Apparently, the TSA opened the case, inspected the guitar and relocked the case so I know the locks do their thing. Case is pretty scratched on the outside after the trip but the inside is perfect. Will be using this case for all of my fly dates going forward.

These cases are military grade durable. I play in a house of worship setting as well as in restaurants and there are just so many things that can happen to the instrument from liquids to the curious, over served individual. The waterproof protection and solid nature of these cases are outstanding. There are three handles and wheels for easy walking over distances. (I do wish that the handle by the wheels would lock down so it would not pop out when walking). I"ve used this case to ship for maintenance with no issues. It"s exactly what I was looking for. Adam Chesi is also a fantastic asset to a great company. Service is outstanding.

I travel often with the band, and this case really fits my PRS Sc like a glove. It's going to add some weight and is a foot or so longer than most LP style cases. Has space for storage but I wish it had a flap like other LP style cases. Straps hold secure enough though. Wheels are nice, semi recessed, and it looks more like a keyboard is being brought in than a guitar. I use the roller and handle and turn my case into a dolley of sorts. Just take my other guitars and bungy them to the front. Roll them in all at once. I want to thank Dave Brow for the recommendation. A bit pricey for a case, but worth it given it offers so much more protection from the elements and droppages which can happen if you play out a ton like I do.

I think I am going to put all gig guitars in this case,...... well buy a different one for each guitar. Ha.

He's gone out of his way many of times to find things that work. Take this case. I saw on you tube it wouldn't fit, well guess what youtube was wrong.

Theres plenty of room under the tuning pegs yet the youtube states there isn't enough.

I have tremendous amount of trust and respect for this guys knowledge for what he sells and what works for your gear.

I can’t imagine anyone not liking this case. It’s heavier than your average case, but that’s because it’s built rugged. It’s well designed too; you couldn’t make it any lighter with the same level of protection without using exotic (much more expensive) materials. The interior surrounds my single cut guitar perfectly on all sides, and offers a generous storage space for tuners, straps, extra strings, wrenches, etc. The latches are very secure and the case closes accurately and securely. It has an O-ring seal in the lid and a valve to allow for pressure variations. I don’t know if I would buy that it’s water proof enough to store your axe at the bottom of your swimming pool, but I’m sure the seal and valve help out with moisture problems. As far as durability is concerned, I’m 205lbs and I can stand on it. If your guitar gets damaged in this case, I don’t know if there is anything out there that could have prevented it; at least not any case that isn’t exorbitantly expensive and/or weighs more than you’d want to carry 10 feet. At the price point this is a very durable case and well worth the money.

Best case I've seen. Fits my Les Paul perfectly. The bass player in my band has an iSeries case, too. We've both had our instruments on a dozen or so flights and they've been loaded in and out of a van a thousand times. Zero problems. Bulky and heavy, but a good case sort of has to be. Not as heavy as some plywood and metal cases I've seen. Very strong. You could jump up and down on it or throw it down the stairs and your guitar wold be fine. No sharp corners to damage other stuff when loading up. Storage compartment is big enough for a belt-clip amp, a tuner pedal, strap, tools, 10-pack of strings and a carton of smokes. Even the wheels are high quality. Looks like you're transporting a rocket launcher, so people don't f#@& with you. One of the only products I've given five stars.

BEWARE ! This product does not live up to its claims . 1st time used , jetblu flight NYC to San Juan Puerto Rico . Broken neck on my Les Paul ( yes strings completely loosened ! ) and 1 broken ATA case lock . If your flying to a gig and dont need the added stress and expense of fixing / replacing your guitar , do yourself a favor and spend the extra $ money to get a real flight case . what a nightmare !!! couldnt be more disapointed !!! would have given it 0 stars if I could . STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT !!! EPIC FAIL !!!

Great case, fits my Brian Moore DC/1 perfectly. Kept the guitar safe on my trip to/from CA. When I purchased it I didn't realize it had wheels too. Man did that make it easy getting my gear around in the airport. Not sure if this is recommend but I was able to hold my pedal board on top of the ATA case while holding the handle rolling both through the airport.

This is a serious case for musicians serious about protecting their "babies". Love the latches, and the fact that the lid opens far enough to avoid slamming back down on hands (or your instrument!). My Les Paul fits with just the slightest amount of wiggle room...I'd like it to be a tad snugger, but it's still a great case! As I've come to expect, it was sent

The case that came with my Les Paul is fine, but it's not protective enough against the stresses that even local gigs always seem to provide. This SKB case is a serious upgrade and exactly what was needed.

Just back from flying back east with my Les Paul in my new case. Not a single problem. What was humorous was that the airline thought it was a firearm case even though I told them it was a guitar case. Nevertheless, they took extra precautions with it!
