Taylor 362ce 12-string Acoustic-electric Guitar - Shaded Edgeburst Reviews
Traditionally, 12-string guitars have dreadnought body shapes that produce a powerful and boomy low end. For fingerstyle players, the huge bass response isn’t always desirable. That’s where the Taylor 362ce 12-string acoustic-electric guitar comes in. It’s built with a Grand Concert body shape that tightens up the bass and provides a more balanced tone. This is thanks to the 362ce’s full mahogany build which adds balanced midrange. The 362ce has a 12-fret neck joint and condensed 24-7/8-inch scale length that make the strings feel slinky and easy to fret. Designed for fingerstylists, the Taylor 362ce may be the best-playing 12-string Taylor yet.

Taylor 362ce 12-string acoustic-electric guitar
I've never owned a "brand-new" top quality guitar before. I have been playing an Ovation 12-string for the last 30+ years. I bought it used and had been satisfied, even though I had to loosen or remove strings just to change the battery!
I decided to spoil myself and buy a new 12-string...WOW! What a difference in quality! I cannot believe the difference in the ease of playing and the richness of the sound. My new Taylor 362ce plays like a 6-string! A bandmate has been playing a Taylor for years (he actually has 2 of them) and suggested I check them out. I am convinced I've made the right choice and will be playing this guitar for many years to come.
Many thanks go out to the professionals at Sweetwater that helped make my purchase seamless and easy! It came packaged with the protection and padding as if they were shipping a Rembrandt! And actually...they were! :)
This 5-Star rating is well-deserved!
Taylor 12 String

Taylor 362ce — playable, beautiful, and fun
I was very nervous about spending this much money for a guitar, but I was turning 70 (yes, that's old), and I have been wanting a new 12-string to play at family outings and small venues. I have had several 12-strings over the years, and I love their sound, but they were all hard to play. The Taylor 362ce is different. Even though it lacks the booming sound of my Martin DX series 12 string, the smaller body fits my smaller stature perfectly. And it plays easier, so my old fingers can get through a 3 hour gig. Lastly, it is the prettiest guitar I have ever owned, which probably isn't terribly important but is still pretty cool. I am picking this thing up every day to play it, so it has inspired me to get more active musically. It also stayed in tune for 3 hours at the latest gig. That is something for a 12-string.
Taylor’s Quality is Legendary
Taylor is our go-to for acoustic/electric guitars! We already owned two 9-series 6-strings... (concert and dreadnaught) and one Doyle Dikes Master series. What we were missing was an excellent 12-string to get the lovely effects that only a 12-string can bring. It was easy to fall in love with the dark, exotic wood used for this model, and its shape. Taylor has never disappointed... the action and tonal quality remain unsurpassed. Sweetwater shipped the guitar within the same week ordered, and we couldn't be happier!
Great guitar and great advice
This guitar arrived a few days after purchasing it online and I'm enjoying its playability, its resonance and how it introduces some nice harmonics to enhance a set of songs I've been working on for performances. The packing of the guitar was impeccable and it arrived in excellent condition. Also essential to this process was the advice of Drew Foster, my sales engineer who has offered great guidance with every inquiry and purchase. Drew has been working with me for years now and has helped me as I've worked to improve my musicianship and professionalism. This involves getting the instruments and live sound gear to support my goals and I realize how invaluable his assistance has been with understanding critical factors (tone woods /body shapes) and making good decisions. So, this is a great guitar and i appreciate the great advice that helped me make this purchase.
New Taylor Plays like a dream
Smooth and friendly, I am quite pleased with how easy she is to play.
Woah! (in Keanu Reeve's voice)
I've been enamored with the sound of a 12-string guitar since I was a kid, but for one reason or another have never gotten around to adding one to my collection. I ordered this as a milestone birthday present to myself, and what I received in this guitar completely knocked it out of the park. This guitar is stunningly beautiful to look at, plays like a dream, and sounds angelic while doing so. This easily qualifies as a "bucket list" guitar, and I am smiling as I write this, waiting for the end of the day when I can pick it back up and spend some more time exploring. An amazing guitar in every respect, and completely worth the wait.
Great guitar and service
I must admit at 68 yrs. old I was a bit hesitant buying a smaller body guitar. I am used to a dreadnaught and have always thought size mattered when it comes to sound and tone. This Taylor 362ce has taught me a lesson not to judge a guitar by size. It is gorgeous and the sound it produces is absolutely unbelievable. It is one of the easiest 12 strings I have ever played. I have to comment on my experience at Sweetwater in Ft. Wayne, IN. It was one of the most enjoyable days I've had in a long time. If you can, you have to make the trip. It is most impressive. My sales representative is Josh Hacker and he is the best! He took his time and treated me like I was one of the family. He got me a great price and bought me a cup of coffee! I cannot express how impressed I was. Made me feel like a king for a day! Thanks Josh! Thanks Sweetwater and Taylor.

Great sound and STAYS IN TUNE!
I've had this guitar for well over a year now and am completely happy with my purchase. I play in an acoustic duo and had been playing a lesser 12 string and it led to some embarrassing situations. Like starting a new set and finding out my guitar had gone completely out of tune! You can't stop in the middle of a song to tune 12 strings soooooo.
I pulled the trigger on the Taylor 362 and what a difference. It is ALWAYS in tune. Even if it has sat in the case for a couple of weeks I bring it out, right on the money.
And the sound? Plugged in it is rich, full, bright and warm at the same time. It adds so much to our sound that I am using it on more and more of our set list. If you are looking for a 12 string this is what you want.
Taylor 362ce
Had this for a few days and cannot be happier. Every chord strum and every note picked out sounds angelic. The quality is amazing, the neck is comfortable, and the electronics onboard are great as well. Glad to own a 12 string again and very glad I went with the 362ce. Thanks for the new axe Matt Kreager!
It’s ok….
This guitar is beautiful and well crafted. I had high hopes for this rig, but I just haven't bonded with it. I have a Made in Mexico Martin 12-string that I just like better. My sales engineer (Mike) has suggested some different strings…on their way….so we will see if that does the trick. Not loving the factory Elixirs. Fingers crossed.
