The Rickenbacker 360 is the deluxe version of the 330. In addition to the 330's jangly maple tones and classic good vibes, the 360 gives you rounded horns, a contoured top edge that rolls into back binding, and iconic triangle ("shark fin") fingerboard inlays. Though most of these updates are cosmetic, one of the coolest upgrades to the 360 is the Rick-O-Sound stereo output. This sends each of the Hi-gain pickups to its own amplifier, or straight into a recording medium for instant stereo guitars. The Rickenbacker was loved by artists like George Harrison and Roger McGuinn for its shimmering chord voicings, and Sweetwater is sure contemporary players will enjoy its top-class tones as well.

Just a terrific instrument
One of those moments when you contemplate placing an order for a Rick with 8-12 months waiting period, only to find out Sweetwater just got 2 in stock. Thanks to Matt Suber for your help!
The quality of build and finish on this 360 is superb. (I own a Rick 4003 bass, fireglow and its the same story). The sound on this 360 is not only that "Rick sound", but it has immense range of tone. I've yet to put it through any effects and I have to say, it really is versatile. The neck is a great size / touch for me. It's well balanced, and light weight (about 7lbs 9oz). It's maple so more dense / heavier than a strat, and much lighter than my les paul (9.5 lbs).
Have not used the stereo output, so looking forward to that, soon.

Great - As Expected
This guitar is great, as was expected .... I am very pleased.
Not much to say
Amazing instrument feels and sound like no other. I just don't understand why you don't see them out there as much as it could be.
Long time coming
Had a Ric when I was in college and decided to sell it when in went into the army. That was in 1968. Have had many guitars since but that darn Ric haunted me until I bought this one from Dave at Sweetwater. My new 360 was perfect from day one. I have bought several guitars from Sweetwater but this one was a long time dream come true.

I've wanted a Rickenbacker 360/6 ever since I was in high school. I'm finally able to afford one, and decided to order the guitar "site unseen" from Sweetwater. After an in-house setup and a new set of strings, the guitar arrived, and I've been blown away ever since. Out of the box, the guitar was in tune, and has not gone out of tune since. The craftsmanship of the guitar is superb, and I have never owned a better guitar. The guitar feels like a dream to play, and there are so many tonal options, that I can't even begin to cover them in this review. I have a Vox AC15 that I use with the guitar, and with the help of an MXR Dyna Comp pedal, I can really get those classic Rickenbacker chimey tones from it. There are so many things I could say about this wonderful instrument, but I'll just sum up by saying that if you want a Rickenbacker 360/6, Sweetwater is the place to get it. As always, my sales engineer, Mark Magdich, treating me well, and continues to provide superior customer service. My Rickenbacker 360/6 will be with me for the rest of my life!
