Rickenbacker 350V63 Liverpool Electric Guitar - Fireglo Reviews

Solidbody Electric Guitar with Maple Body, Maple Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard, and 3 Single-coil Pickups - Fireglo

Sweetwater says it’s never too late to join the British Invasion. Your weapon of choice? The Rickenbacker 350V63 Liverpool semi-hollowbody electric guitar, of course. While the 350V63 is optimized to deliver the sound and playability that today’s guitarists demand, it’s based on the legendary 325 series guitars that set the world on fire in the early 1960s. At Rickenbacker’s California factory, the company’s elite luthiers have crafted a meticulous re-imagining of an instrument that helped change the course of music history, updating the traditional design to full-scale size and performance. Three vintage single-coil Toaster Top pickups supply the 350V63 Liverpool’s epic chime and grind, while solid black knobs, replica tuners, and a trapeze tailpiece harken back to an era that’s gone but not forgotten.

Rickenbacker 350V63

By Tony Stagnaro from Elk Grove Ca. on March 2, 2022 Music Background: Self proclaimed musician

Fabulous instrument...only drawback is there are no straplocks on the market that are compatible with the vintage strap bolts these guitars come with...keep this gem of a guitar nestled closely to your torso as you rock this baby..

Oh my yes!!

Been wanting this beauty for over a year and worth the wait. I really wanted this one even over the 360. Huge thank you to Cameron Green for make it all come together.
Easily one of the easiest guitars I have ever played and it lives up to all the reviews posted above.

Wow factor

Beautiful guitar that plays like a dream….so impressed with it that I'm going to name it… always have had good service with Sweetwater…… they even threw in five packs of candy instead of the usual one, which was a real plus for me. Unfortunately my wife found them and consumed them

Awesome

By Charles Paul from West Tennessee on June 25, 2021 Music Background: 42 years banjo, Les than that Guitar. Just for fun.

A big shout out to Matt Masek for getting me this guitar in 6 weeks even though they are on back order. This is my first Rickenbacker and I am amazed at the tonal range of it. I read every review, and watched every demo I could find on the internet before I bought this fine guitar. It really does have a (bell like jingle jangle chime) That is mentioned in so many reviews. To keep this short I recommend that you watch reviews on Youtube. Some of them are done by real professional musicians that really run it through it capabilities. In closing, I own Gibson's, Fenders. and Gretsch's and this beautiful guitar has a unique sound that is all its own. Worth every penny.

AMAZING

By BENJAMIN DONATELLI from LOWELLVILLE, OH on July 2, 2020

This is my 8th Rickenbacker and by far my favorite 6 string. I have a 320 jetglo and a 315 fireglo 3/4 models and a 650 Dakota, along with a jetglo 4001 bass, 360/12 mapleglo, 360/12V64 fireglo and 660/12 Tom Petty signature in fireglo, but this full size 350 is great. All the appointments are vintage Rickenbacker, just as it should be from the silver case to toaster pickups and even the clear RIC truss rod cover. It's a work of art and maybe the last chance to get a RIC that goes back to the 1950's Capri's that John Lennon loved and so many artists today are seeking. My friend Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers owns 2 of those 50's Capri's in fireglo and jetglo and they are some of his favorites. Don't wait, it'll be too late! I want thank my rep Preston Fulford for all his hard work in getting me this guitar ordered, made and shipped to me in only 6 weeks. That alone is amazing when ordering a RIC. We had a couple other issues that Preston took care of making calls for me and more. Thank you so much Preston, I'm a fan for life!

Beautiful Guitar

By David J. from Virginia Beach on April 22, 2021 Music Background: 55 years of music.

First let me say the things I love about the guitar; the finish, the action, and of course the legendary Rickenbacker tone. It still sounds like the good old days - the Beatles, and even Tom Petty.

There were two things I was a little disappointed in, the first is the tuners. They have a bit of play in them and it needs a little finesse to get them locked in pitch. The other thing was the way the nut was cut. It just exaggerated the tuning issues as the wound strings tend to "pop". A little bit of smoothing made it much better. For a guitar of this price I would've expected that detail to be taken care of. I doubt there's anything that can be done about the tuners. I don't play live. I simply can say that getting it locked onto pitch takes more effort than I would expect from a guitar of this price range and quality.

Nevertheless, it's a stunning guitar and I am very happy with it.

In comparison, I have a Standard Les Paul 60s replica. I think that the finish on this is just a little bit better. However the tuners on the Gibson easily outperform these.
