Taylor 314 Acoustic Guitar - Natural Sapele Reviews
Revolutionary V-Class bracing is now available in Taylor's popular 314 Grand Auditorium acoustic guitar. V-Class bracing boosts volume evenly across the tonal spectrum, increases sustain, and improves the natural intonation of the instrument by creating a more synergistic response from the soundboard. This fosters a more harmonious relationship between the notes you play, helping chords to ring out in cohesive splendor. With Taylor's value-packed 314, you get it all: playability, tone, and looks. Its richly grained Sitka spruce top pairs beautifully with sapele back and sides to give you a powerful, well-balanced sound with punchy midrange focus and clear treble. The 314 is a perennial favorite here at Sweetwater and it's easy to see — and hear — why. And now with V-Class bracing, it's better than ever!

Perfect for me
I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect sound/feel/size/price guitar This is it! Have many other good guitars (Martin, Taylor, Yamaha, etc.) But this has what I've been looking for every day use. Very easy to play and fantastic sound that just gets better. Did not want built-in electronics or a cutaway for this one.
Wow
My wife surprised me with this guitar last night. Dazzling sound and great feel. Rings out and sustains forever. Absolutely am in love with my Taylor 314.
Taylor 314 Acoustic Guitar-Natural Sapele
This is one of the best guitars I've ever purchased, right out of the case. I've been playing a LONG time, but this is my first Taylor guitar. I've never seen such attention to detail. This is a definite 'Bang for Your Buck' guitar at this price. Listen, if you're on the fence, pull the trigger on this. You won't be disappointed.
immaculate sound
I never regreted placing this order. This guitar sounds and looks awesome. It sustains really well and it creates a sound illusion that your playing two guitars.
Thanks to Adam and the sweetwater team for shipping this on time.
Fantastic guitar
My 314 V-class has not been back in the case since I received the guitar. It is played and enjoyed daily. The 314 is one fantastic guitar and well worth the cost.
Taylor 314 Review
I purchased a 314 V-class a few weeks ago.Electronics were not necessary as I play only for my own enjoyment. The 314 has proved to be one of the best guitars in my little collection that does include a few Martins. The build is perfect and the sound amazing. It was a pleasure to work with Zach.
Taylor 314 Review
Second time buying a guitar from Sweetwater, and both experiences have been excellent. For my review, let's start with SERVICE: Sweetwater really does have the great customer service that so many reviewers rave about. (Kudos to my sales agent, Jacob T.!) Now, for the guitar. LOOKS: It looks even better than the photos. SOUND: Out of the box, this guitar projects so well. Great bass, too. It has a "sing-ing" quality to it that is a pleasant surprise, especially for a 300-level Taylor. I'm optimistic that with time (as the wood loosens up), and with some D'Addario EXP strings, the treble will mellow out a bit. Again, though, fabulous depth, bass and balance of tone (both strumming and finger-style arrangements). PLAYABILITY: I've played many, many Taylors (all higher end than this guitar) and this 314 plays just as good as Taylor's higher models. The neck has the same build specs as Taylor's higher models, and its playability is off the charts! So smooth and easy to play, all the way to the 14th fret. MORE ON SOUND: I always figured the V-Class talk was marketing hype. But this guitar has caused me to drink the V-Class Cool-Aid -- a gallon of it! Amazing intonation, and great projection -- even with bends, slides and harmonics. Very noticeable, from the get-go. (Perhaps this guitar's "sign-ing" quality comes from the V bracing?) // In short, this is an awesome guitar for the price. Couldn't be happier!
Taylor 314
This is the best guitar I have owned. The sound and sustain of this guitar is the best I have ever heard. I think the V bracing makes a very definite improvement in the guitar. I am very pleased with this instrument.
Great guitar
A really sweet sounding guitar. Get one today!
Awesome!
Love this guitar! Sounds great and it happened to have been built 6 days before my birthday. Always find exactly what I need at Sweetwater. I did find a sharp edge about 3" long where the binding meets the top from what appears to be from the gloss finish. Easily fixable with light high grit sanding. I did however expect better at $1700. That's the only reason for the half star dock
Great Guitar!
My first Taylor/high end acoustic guitar and it is a beauty. I love looking at it, it sounds much more crisp and clearer than any guitar I have ever played, changing the strings is a breeze.
I bought a demo version, had a little nick on the neck, not a big deal - got a discount!
Knocked half a star off for how they packaged my guitar(not sure if it's because it was a demo but it wasnt packaged how they claim in their online video).
Will order again in the future but if packaging is an issue again, it will be my last time. Improperly packaged guitars shouldnt be shipped across America, especially expensive ones!
My only worry is my guitar may have endured some type of damage. However so far so good, havent been able to find anything and have put a couple hundred hours on it past 3-4 months.
Highly recommended this guitar.
