Jackson V Series Guitar Case Reviews

I originally bought the RR 6/7 string case by Jackson. The one that looks very vintage that you would never guess was housing a flying V and weighs almost 10 lbs.

My Jackson RR guitar did not fit it. It would not sit down in it right. All the problems with fit seemed to stem from the heel innthe neck..it just didnt seem right..

Sweetwater sent me another one and i had the same problem.

After asking some people that owned and played various RR style Jackson guitars, doing some more reasearch, and working with a sweetwater associate, I came to the conclusion that THIS case was the correct one.

They sent it to me, and I couldnt be happier. SO GOOD! Definitely get this case, it will be a good investment for your V.

BUT!! THIS is the information I found...THIS case is for newer JACKSON RR models...with a BOLT ON NECK. The other one is for vintage Jackson RR models with the SET NECKS. If you have a bolt on neck, buy this one. If you have a set neck, buy the other one! And if your modern V has a set neck, this probably will NOT work and you will need the other one.

This also will NOT fit an Epiphone or GIBSON V. For those brands, buy the SKB case that does not say "Jackson".

If you need to be sold on this case any further, this particular case was made by SKB for Jackson and branded as Jackson so you are getting the benefits and quality of SKB. It does not matter how cheap you think your guitar is, this is the case to buy. Any guitar can have mods and upgrades or be traded for a "better" RR but in the end the horns on a V are very easy to bust and this is the best case to ensure they dont!

I purchased this case to go with a new Jackson King V that I ordered at the same time and guess what? It's a perfect fit, just like you'd expect! Case seems well made and secures the KV inside the lined interior quite well, no flopping about, etc. and should do it's job nicely.

My Jackson JS32 King V fits nicely and snug in the case. Great storage compartment to keep accessories like cables, strings, pick holders etc. Highly recommend!

The case is sturdy, well constructed and attractive. Just like I thought it would be!! I am very pleased with the price and the delivery.

This case fits this guitar perfectly! Nice storage compartment in side, under the neck for picks or strings etc.
Amazing case for the price, keeps the guitar very safe and secure.

A lot of latches to undo every time you use it, but a great case.

Ordered my case, and the very next day a guy called and said that the two they had were reserved and that I could get a refund or wait for their new shipment. And he was nice about it, he wasn't dull and boring. So, I got the other things I ordered (guitar strap and an adapter) and they came in the minimum estimated shipping time, and I even get a thank you card sort of thing. Very solid case, nice latches, snug fit. Plus I can actually fit this one in my car unlike the case my rr1 came with!

this case was alot better than i expected, and it was cheaper than on any other website. it doesn't look as bulky and ugly in real life as it does in the picture, and it comes with keys to lock it. the fit is really tight when you first get it, but it molds to the perfect shape after you keep your guitar in for a while. i would definitely recommend this to anyone with a King V or a Rhoads, seeing as it is very high quality and is absolutely essential for protecting your guitar.

It"s a real awesome sturdy case that comes with a built in lock. It fits a little bit snugger than I would like, but other than that it is a really great case.

This case is ultra durable and haven't had any issues with it. It does have a compartment to store your things and you can lock it so its just pretty much a case that does its job well, even if its in an un-ordinary shape. The only minor complaint is that I don't like how the Jackson logo is molded in and its just black, I take pride in playing Jackons and I would of loved to at least of seen the text be white or something a bit more interesting, nothing big but I would of preferred it!

I really wish that Jackson truly made this case to fit the RR model as the official RR case is just huge. I had ordered the regular RR case but it's quite large and heavy. SW happily exchanged it but informed me the King V case won't fit. I took a chance based on another review here and the RR does NOT fit easily into the case. Sure it fits but you would need to mash it in as the cutouts just aren't right. Listen to your SW rep, they know what they are talking about when they say it won't fit correctly.

I'll be returning it again and exchanging for the proper RR case even though it's huge. Jackson should really make this style case for the RR. Really strange that it doesn't and only offers the extremely heave case.

Oh well. This guitar needs a case and there is nothing else out there.
