Review of my new Taylor 214 CE Plus
This is the first truly professional quality acoustic I have ever owned. It is amazing. Perfect intonation right out of the box, tone is unbelievable, and no polarity noises or buzzing when it is plugged in. Since the pickup is behind the saddle and not directly underneath it, there is no noise from that either. Guitar is solid as.a.rock all over. Couldn't be more satisfied with it.
Absolutely perfect
Had my guitar plexed and setup by Sweetwater. It is phenomenal. The great tone of an acoustic with the ease of an electric. If you haven't done it, I urge you to have a professional setup your guitar and put on your favorite strings. It was perfect coming out of the case.the plex was new to me. The Barre cords are perfect with very little effort. You guys make me look good.
Great guitar
I looked at a lot of guitars, Martins and Gibsons, and decided this one checked all the right boxes. Great tone which reminds me of a J45 on the low end and D18 on the high end. Easy to play, pickup sounds great, the right price, great case.
It's a bargain
I played so many guitars looking for the right tone and playability and I finally found it. This guitar plays and sounds better than guitars many times the price. It's stunning and the build quality is typical Taylor which is to say it's flawless. I usually have to set up my guitars to my liking when I get them but not here. No adjusting or setup is needed right out of the box. The action is great and the string selection, D'Addario, is spot on. This is the second guitar I've bought from them recently. The electronics sound natural which is a plus. I don't think you can do better at this price point. The Sweetwater customer service is stellar as usual.
