DPA 2028-B-B01 Supercardioid Condenser Handheld Vocal Microphone with Wired DPA Handle Reviews
DPA's industry-leading speech and vocal reproduction come to an intrepid new handheld design in the 2028 supercardioid handheld mic. Crooners to screamers, slam poets to beatboxers, the 2028 is built to deliver 1:1 vocal reproduction of virtually any vocal performer. DPA's famously flat off-axis response gives the 2028 extremely natural sonics and a consistent pickup, even in the hands of dynamic singers. What's more, a supercardioid pickup pattern equips the 2028 with maximum gain before feedback and exemplary isolation, allowing you to get more of your voice — and not the rest of your band — in your wedges and ears. We at Sweetwater found the three-stage shockmount, pop filter, and grille to be extremely effective at reducing handling noise and plosives into the mic, eliminating distracting artifacts and overs from ruining performances. If you've been searching for DPA vocal performance from a mid-level handheld, the 2028 is definitely worth a look.

My number 1
I've been using a EV96 microphone but I feel I needed a just a little more punch especially hitting low notes so after a conversation with my salesman Benjamin I decided to try this dpa. It was a bit better and stronger than the EV96.
I think I must add I'm running this through a Mackie profxv3 and EV zlx15 mains and zlx12 monitor clean clear and loud
Game-changer
I've used them all, or nearly so, for singer song-writer solo gigs to five and six piece bands with drummers and electric guitars. I love using condenser mics when I can, but so often they're not possible. Until the DPA 2028.
This is both the most forgiving (of poor technique), and the most utterly realistic I've used. Stellar accuracy. Incredibly smooth highs and lows. All while fighting feedback better than many dynamic mics.
Use this this thing at your peril. Everything else is a step down afterward.
