Between my past experience with SKB products and all the great reviews, going with this is a no-brainer. It's exactly what I needed. Something I can sling over my shoulder that is bag light and case sturdy. Love the extra pockets too. Definitely recommended!

I wanted protection and enough storage such that I could fit everything I need, minus the amp and pedals, in one bag. I'm still new to playing outside the house, but so far this bag has met all my requirements. It fits the LP perfectly, provides plenty of protection and seems well made. Storage-wise it fits my bulky but comfortable strap, cords, tuner, capo, picks, strings and a few tools. As always, Sweetwater provided useful info to help me make my case choice and shipping was great.

I was a little hesitant buying this online but once I opened it up and got a look at it I was super impressed. It's very lightweight and it's way sturdier than I expected. Fits my Les Pauls perfectly. With the way it's constructed I would probably trust it as much or more than my Gibson hard cases. The extra storage compartments are a nice bonus. Great case for the money.

I love the convenience and weight of a gig bag with backpack straps. This adds a bit more protection for my Nighthawk together with clever storage compartments. As a note, this does not accommodate my Yamaha Pacifica, but that's not what I bought it for ... It does just what I want and I'd buy it again and recommend it for anyone who needs a case that won't set you back too much money and leaves two hands free for carrying more gear!!

This is the best soft case I have seen for a LP style guitar. Form fitting and solid neck cradle. It's not a gig bag it's a rigid soft case.

The case is very sturdy and thick but not heavy,
It does have a lot of compartments for your gear
No need to worry about damage to the instrument
Inside if banged around. But it's Not "A Gig Bag"
It is in-fact a case with very sturdy zippers. I'm used to opening my gig bags half way and taking out the guitar. With this one you literally have to put it down, and un-zip the whole zipper or else you cannot take out the instrument. Good for some, but not for all. Overall it a good soft case.

This case is very nice. Light and portable with the backpack straps but also very rigid for a soft case. Provides plenty of protection for a non hard case. There is also plenty of storage. Fits my Esp LTD EC 401 perfectly. Only complaint would be the zippers are pretty stiff and sometimes difficult to zip up on the bottom. It unzips much easier. They might break in with use but they work fine and seem durable. Sweetwater was great as always and delivered within a few days. If you have a les paul style guitar and are looking for a soft case, this one should definitely be on your list and you should buy it from Sweetwater!

Very well made. Will protect my Epiphone Les Paul adequately with about half the weight of a hard shell case. Sweetwater service is the best. Item was in stock and mailed quickly.

I've never liked carrying a LP style guitar in any gig bag because of the pressure on the tilted headstock, and this case-bag solves that. It's almost a hard case and has the backpack straps so it is exactly what I wanted. And unlike my double gig bag by another company, this one has lots of decent storage space for accessories. The interior fit was a bit too tight(hence the 4.5 rating) and I had to alter some of the Styrofoam to get a fit that was still secure, but didn't put undue pressure on the guitar. An Exacto knife worked wonders. I'd rather have it too tight rather than loose. Highly suggested for anybody looking for a Les Paul bag/case.

The case has excellent room and a great locking system

This case is great for what I needed. It’s light, but provides hardcase protection for traveling when driving. I wouldn’t check this on an airline, however it has more than enough rigidity as a gig type case for going to shows or putting in the back of a car or suv to move across the country. If I ever need something for air travel, I will get the skb hardcase. There is more than enough storage for picks, strings, cords, and straps. Also, my Epi LP Standard fits extremely well with no wiggle room and keeps the head suspended.

Great case. Hope zippers hold up. But no complaints this case feels strong.

Excellent semi soft case. The plush interior and semi rigid sides really protect the guitar well. Plenty of storage. I took away half a star because the case doesn't want to stay upright when you set it down on its side. This is a minor issue though. Overall, I am very pleased with this case and would definitely purchase another for any new guitars or basses I might buy.

This is a very nice case. I have bought and use several of these (Flying V, Strat, Explorer & Acoustic) and I have not experienced any problems.

So I needed two LP style cases and these are perfect fits. They are plenty heavy and are certainly well made. They come with back pack straps. Although very nice straps I wish they weren't permanently affixed. For my purposes I'd take them off. For a biking student, awesome.

If I had a real complaint it would be the super long zipper that is required to open and close the case. Note the picture, the zipper starts at the treble side horn and goes all the way to the controls past the jack. It has to make a couple hard turns around the headstock and it can be troublesome. I hope it loosens up as I use it and not fail. I don't see a way around the design so I know they did what had to be done.

Over all if the zipper holds up to the life of the rest of the case it will be a worthwhile purchase.

This rigid soft case is a absolutely perfect fit for my LTD EC 1000 guitar. It will also fit the other LTD EC series or the ESP eclipse series guitar. Very padded & lightweight as well. In my opinion this is better than a hard case!! Very affordable.

I wanted the portability of a gig bg but the security of a hrd shell case, all in one package. Too much to ask for? No! These SKB cases rock! I loved the first one so much that I bought a second. I use them with my PRS Zach Myers (single cut) and my PRS SE Custom 24 (double cut).

A couple of my guitar cases were damaged in a basement flood. So when I first started looking for replacements, I thought it was a great opportunity to upgrade to something a little nicer than the cheap, flimsy soft cases I was using before.

Simply put... the SKB-SC56 has hard case protection with gig bag portability! (I am so impressed with this case that I plan to get the SKB-SC30 model for my electro-acoustic Takamine.) For me, the price is well worth the cost to protect my beloved instruments. Stop reading this and get one already! You will not be disappointed :)
