Rickenbacker 1993 Plus Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar - Mapleglo Reviews
Pete Townshend asked Rickenbacker to upgrade his cherished Model 1993 guitar. The result is the 1993Plus, enhanced with an 1/8-inch wider neck, Caribbean rosewood fingerboard, and more stable 2-piece neck design with a round heel for increased comfort and upper-fret access. This classic semi-hollowbody 12-string electric guitar is fitted with three vintage reissue Toaster Top single-coil pickups, stereo output, a trapeze tailpiece, vintage knobs, and a proper F-hole. Double body binding and pearlescent inlays add a touch of refinement. X-bracing in the body helps to bring out the rich, full jangle our favorite Rickenbacker 12-strings are famous for. The original 1993 design was once exclusive to the British distributor Rose Morris in the ’60s. Now it can be yours — if you act fast. The Rickenbacker 1993Plus is in short supply, and they’ll go quickly at Sweetwater!

I've been waiting for one of these to come in. Sweetwater emailed me when it was in stock. Kieth gave me a great deal, it arrived in a couple days really well packed.I couldn't be happier. The waiting was the hardest part.
Thanks Kieth, David
Now that,s what i'm talking bout!
I own 4- 6 strings of various brands. All are fine instraments...but then I received this Rickenbacker 1993 Plus hollowbody, Mapleglow. Never handled or played the brand before. I love 12 strings with the full inviting sound they produce. It was beautiful laying in it's secure hard case. It was PERFECT in every detail. The qulity and workmanship are apparent. Pluged her into my Fender amp and played for about 30mins. THIS HAS TO BE THE FINEST GUITAR I HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF PICKING...the rich full feel and sound takes you into guitar heaven. The neck and finger board are smooth as glass! This is the classic sound and surprising wide range of tones and sounds it can produce. If all Rickenbackers are this quality, I'm probable gonna have to get a six string. I was very reluctant to spend that much, but it is so worth it. Thanks to Mike Soper-he recommended this as the 12 string I would cherish...he is correct. This is my prize posseession guitar. If you can buy one of these, don't hesitate-you won't be sorry! I'm 67 years young
Rickenbacker 1993 Plus Mapleglow
I received this last week from Sweetwater. I was hesitant to buy it simply because I prefer the longer scale lengths of Gretsch and Fender. When it arrived it was packed very well. The setup was spot on. With the slightly wider neck I find it actually easier to play then my Gretsch 6122-6212 12 string or my Taylor 858. The chime of the strings is unlike any other guitars I own or have played. Even unplugged this guitar has the unique sound of Rickenbacker.
The sales department at Sweetwater is incredible. Josh is my sales rep and every time I buy something or just have questions, he is my source. He takes the time to answer every question and does so in a manner creating a friendship.
I recommend Josh and Sweetwater to coworkers, family and friends.
