Perfect Package

By William M. from Dothan, AL
Music Background: 50 yrs of Guitar addiction!

This is the best 2x12 I have owned since I purchased my Bogner 2x12 open back. Better speakers are offered with the Bogner but I already had plans for this one anyway.. lol.
Great buy for sure.

Perfect home cabinet

By Sweetwater Customer

Nice option for an at home power cab. Incredible sound, great compatability with any full size head. My DSL100HR head drives this cabinet beautifully!

Marshall 1936 Cabinet

By Wilburn E. from Pleasant Garden, NC

I bought this cabinet after building my own JTM45 head, having never owned a Marshall style amp before. A friend of mine recommended this cabinet due to the speakers being a good pairing for my amp head. I have not been disappointed. It has smooth rich sound and handles volume very well. I didn't really need a 4x12 so this one is good for space and it definitely rocks and rolls!

Marshall 1936 2x12

By Jason
Music Background: Weekend warrior

I feel this is a much better choice than the EVH 2x12 because this cabinet has much higher quality speakers in it that can also handle a 100 watt head! The tone and power are a standard in my book and are exactly what I expect! Worth every penny!!!!

Marshall 1936 Lead 150-watt 2x12" Extension Cabinet

By DNM from Maplewood, MN
Music Background: Amateur

I bought this UK built, Birch ply, 1936 Lead cabinet (with two 16 ohm Celestion G12T-75 speakers wired for one 8 ohm input or two 16 ohm inputs) for my Marshall Origin 50 head.

FYI: This head is slightly too short in width for its rubber feet to sit at both ends within the placement areas on the top of the cabinet. A "full size" Marshall head was evidently the expectation.

I took the monetary risk of replacing the stock speakers with Celestion G12H-75 Creambacks (UK made, unlike the stock speakers). I like how they sound, so the risk paid off. I'm looking forward to using this cabinet with amp heads I might buy in the coming years. This is a solid, well built cabinet; and with the Creambacks is now good to go.

Beyond Great

By Walter

I had purchased this cabinet around a year ago to use with my Peavey 6505+ and it is far better than I expected. It defines that Peavey growl.

Great cab...but no casters

By Tito from MA
Music Background: Punk, psychobilly, rock n roll.

I've owned plenty of cabs, and the 1936 is still one of my favorites. Great tone and projection. Solid and road worthy construction. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because, for the price, the casters should be included, not an extra add on.

LOUD, LIGHT, AND 3D

By Alex P. from NY, NY
Music Background: Pro Musician

really great tones from this cabinet. using a marshal JVM205h to drive it. i like it so much that im gonna buy a 2nd for my mesa/boogie 5:50 and use both in stereo. only complaint was when i pushed more low end out, it startled to rattle a little bit. not a problem for me, since i dont use a lot of "thump," i just wanted to see what this cabinet could put out. all in all, its a great buy.

Sweetest Sounding 2x12 I've Ever Heard!

By Charlie from Scranton, PA
Music Background: Keyboardist, guitarist

I expected this cabinet to sound good, but it greatly exceeded my expectations. The sound is THICK - full and rich. Built like the proverbial brick $#!^ house, one gets the sense that it would remain unscathed if it was run over by a semi! I initially balked at purchasing the 1936, questioning whether or not I should opt for the 1960. In retrospect, I'm glad I got the 1936. Sounds fantastic and is much easier to carry. I use a Marshall JVM205H to drive this cabinet and the cabinet is capable of super cleans and nasty crunch.

MARSHALL 1936

By Jim K. from CANFIELD, OHIO
Music Background: VERY VAST............. AND GROWING

I really like the deep sounds and tones from this cabinet..
Its not as big as a full 4 speaker cabinet.. but the 2-12's sure put out some nice sounds...

Was really worth waiting for... just wish Marshall would put the wheel kit in with the package....
