great mid level mixer!
Fantastic sounding mixer with a plethora of signal routing choices,
the pre-amps are pristine and the aux sends are tight and very dynamic.
the 4 channel buss is a pleasure to work with and there is no signal degradation using the sub-masters.
This is my Mixer of choice when doing any live venue with multiple onstage microphones, video and CD inputs. the noise floor is bottomless (as the amps are way noisier).
The tank like build is just what you would expect from Mackie. If you are looking for a 16 channel, road worthy, robust, great sounding, well thought out versatile mixer, the Mackie 1604 is for you.
