It works!!
This is great, my original one musta been a lemon but Sweetwater's QC dept made sure I'd be getting a good one. Thanks!!
Works perfectly
I tried one of those "always on" plugs with my DRRI, and the tremolo made a bad ticking noise and eventually blew a fuse. Plugged in this footswitch, and both the switch and the amp worked perfectly. Not sure what the issue was before, but I'm happy. I don't understand why an item this simple should cost $... but at least I didn't have to pay for shipping.
PSA-Good for generic dual footswitch use.
Bought this to do the switching on all my Peavey amps since the Peavey footswitch is always on backorder when I check availability. The "Reverb" switch switches the channel, and the "Vibrato" switch switches the reverb, but otherwise it works perfectly as a generic dual stereo plug on/off footswitch.
Impatient consequences
Having lost the original footswitch to my Fender Twin Reverb just after purchase, I decided to replace it, even though I didn't see myself using the tremolo function much.
I recently started a rapport with a local guitar shop due to a move across country. Since both Sweetwater and the local shop had to backorder this OEM replacement footswitch. I decided to see which one would get the product first. So I ask for notification from Sweetwater; and put down a refundable payment at the local shop to order it for me.( An act of skulduggery I regret for personal integrity as well as the consequence to follow.) As it turned out I neglected to check my email regularly and Sweetwater actually won the race, but sold out again before I found the arrival notice. The local shop came through next. However, I ended up paying at least $10.00 more buying it locally.
The moral to the story is that, a rapport with a local shop is fine for some things, but when it comes down to it, Sweetwater wins everytime.
Oh by the way, I gave the 4.5 rating for the product being the same no matter where I bought it The footswitch is not only an OEM replacement and required for a Twin Reverb to access the tremolo, it is a well built unit and easy to operate. I also found the tremolo function to be more useful than I thought. So its a good purchase and I'm happy with it, though I'd be happier if I'd gone through Sweetwater.
Works, But Should Have Been Included
I recently purchased the Fender Vibro Champ Reverb and bought this footswitch to go along with the amp. Switch looks great, works as advertised. I still, however, contend that for the price of the Vibro Champ Reverb, Fender should have included the footswitch! Maybe I'm just an old curmudgeon, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. And you kids get off of my lawn!
Fender 2 button footswitch
Absolutely no problems in ordering, packing, shipping or receiving this product, was exactly what I always expect and receive from Sweetwater, always get a follow up call fro Delvin Wolf, thanks again !
Put some LEDs on it.
Come on guys. The amps that this footswitch is used with do not have any LEDs on the front to give the player an indication of the status of Reverb & Trem. You could have put a couple LEDs on the pedal. Its OK when you're in your basement, just scaring the spiders. But behind the chicken wire on Friday night at your local biker bar you often can't hear if the tremolo or reverb is on. You're smart people, please put some LEDs on the vib/rev footswitch.
