This guitar's limited-edition 00-14 Fret Slope Shoulder body, impeccably crafted from Sitka spruce and rare tiger-striped gonçalo alves, bears a custom fly fishing print from American artist William Matthews. It's spec'd and set up to play, with a High Performance Taper hardwood neck dovetailed directly to the body to deliver rich resonance and breathtaking sustain. X-Bracing delivers a big, dynamic response despite the comfortably contoured reduced body size. Custom trout and fly pearl inlays up and down the neck and headstock, complemented by gold tuners, round out this one-of-a-kind Martin package.
Excellent craftmenship and great big smooth sound from an smaller body guitar
I purchased this guitar about a month ago from Ty at Sweetwater. This is my first Martin guitar and what a beautifully crafted instrument. No detail was left out. Very comfortable to play and the sound and sustain are amazing. The low profile neck helps me play more comfortably and the new Martin SP life span strings are great.
My only complaint is that Martin does not install a guitar strap button at the factory. I use a strap to play even seated so I had to have one professionally installed.
I hope to leave this guitar to my son as I believe that with a 100 unit limited production, this guitar will hold or increase in value over time.
