Great guitar! Sounds good, plays really well looks good I love this guitar!!

I have been playing guitar for 10+ years but didn't get serious till I bought this guitar! I have owned countless guitars in the $ range. The moment I picked this guitar up and heard how beautiful it sounded, the price was no concern! I went to the local guitar center in sandiego and the sales men put me in the martin room and allowed me to play every martin on the wall ranging from $ and I played them all to the best of my ability for 2 hours. The moment I picked up the 00-18 it was all over, it was comfortable and sounded so amazingly beautiful! It was the perfect balance of highs and lows! It had just the volume I like and need. It was light and smelled beautiful! I was sold! I bought this guitar and it made me a better player because it ignited a fire in me to learn how to put its beauty to work!

When I told sales engineer Jeff Bohan I was looking into buying a new guitar I mentioned the 00-18. He told me it's one of his favorites. I couldn't find one in Pittsburgh to try out. So, I decided to take the plunge and order one without playing it first.

Jeff was very attentive to my questions and concerns. I've been in touch with him for several years now. Sweetwater is my "go to" source for instruments and music supplies/accessories. I'm a gigging musician and wanted electronics onboard the guitar.

Jeff recommended the LR Baggs Anthem. My son in NJ has one of those in his D-28, so I am familiar with it. I am aware that it sounds great. When Jeff told me about it and the installation option, I decided to go all the way. I bought the 00-18, LR Baggs Anthem, and Jeff walked me through a questionnaire to make sure the guitar came to me setup at the specifications I wanted. The set up is great! Action, comfort, and sound are all TOP NOTCH. I couldn't be happier with my decision to let Jeff guide me on this one.

For a self employed musician, this is a considerable investment/expense. I really wanted to try one out before buying, but I decided to take a leap. Glad I did.

Jeff Bohan is an outstanding person to deal with. Always helpful, professional, knowledgable, and friendly. He contributes to the reason Sweetwater sets the bar that the other companies strive to reach.

The luthier and set up technicians/inspectors at Sweetwater did an excellent job on the install and set up. I'm very happy with the whole process from top to bottom. The action on this thing is low and comfortable.

Last but not least, Martin guitars are just great. I like the small comfortable body of the 00-18. The simplicity of the design is what draws me to Martin guitars. They are absolute quality, but I really appreciate the minimalist approach to many of their models. The 00-18 is just how I like it. The plain fretboard dots, black binding, spruce top, ebony fretboard, and mahogany back and sides are simple and tasteful. The straight forward simplicity of it is what makes it beautiful to me. I dig the open style tuners too. It's cool to see the gears.

The tone is incredible and the projection is impressive for such a small bodied guitar. Feels and plays great. Very comfortable. I will enjoy this guitar for steady gigging and at home practice!

The case included is very nice quality. And, of course, I must mention the ever pleasing "new guitar smell".

Sweetwater has the pictures taken care of, but I did attach a few to show the nice install job they did for me with the LR Baggs.

After seeing Bob Dylan playing one of these for years, I jumped on the Martin boat after years of Gretches. The neck is quite small in circumrance in guitar of this size but not a bad size. The sound amplifies well and is well rounded with a bit of twang for people who play country music akin to an electric telecaster tone. Highly recommended fo the professional.

These 18's are amazing! I'm fortunate to have an excellent triple, double and single. I find this 00 to be the perfect balance for playing and vocal accompaniment. Sounds better everyday! If you want that Martin sound in a smaller package this is the guitar for you. Great tone that projects well and delivers that extra punch when called upon. The neck profile will feel comfortable to those who prefer a more slender "Taylor" feel. The fit and finish says quality throughout with an understated elegance that can only be appreciated when playing this guitar.

Sweetwater:
The guitar came quickly and the packaging was exceptional. The guitar was in the Martin guitar case inside a Martin shipping box inside of a Sweetwater shipping box.

The guitar was tuned and in a playable condition right out of the case. Everything was very clean.

No issues with Sweetwater and the handling of my order.


Martin Guitars:
The guitar sounds wonderful. Fits my tastes.

If you have never smelled a new Matin, you are in for a treat.

This guitar has no flaws that I can find and that is what I expected. Even if it had a flaw, I would keep it, it sounds that good to me.

The action on the guitar is low and no buzzing that I can find, intonation is correct, all as you would expect. Easy for me to play.

This is my first Martin and it has so far lived up to my expectations.
