Martin 000JR-10E Shawn Mendes Signature Acoustic-electric Guitar - Natural Reviews

I bought a Martin 000Jr-10E from a official dealer in Singapore.

It's amazing price for the features, such as the Ebony Fingerboard and bridge and the all Sipo neck which is a great substitute for Mahagony. In addition, the small features such as the inlayed bridge with swallows and the upgraded "snowflake inlays" makes it classy. The best parts were the antique toner found on high end Martins which in my opinion improved the top and made it look way pricier than it really is.

Some other touches include the upgraded Gold Logo, pickguard (the usual 000-jr does not come with a pickguard), upgraded fancier looking label (close to a standard model), signature on the 3rd fret, and the hidden lyrics (mine was on the underside of the wood surrounding the soundhole). Not to mention the upgraded Gig bag that looks and feels premium.

It comes with a pickup (Fishman Sonitone) with easy access for battery replacement, that offers a decent tone for quick plug and play gigs.

For good measure, i had upgraded the pins and saddle to bone. The tone is indeed gorgeous and has great sustain. All in all, its a MUST buy as the specifications you are getting for the price is unmatched. You can hardly find another like it. Its a well made Mexican Martin IMO :)

I went in to Sweetwater in search of something completely different. After demoing a few guitars and being disappointed, I randomly picked up the Shawn Mendez Martin and couldn't put it down. Best part is I was expecting to spend around $2,000 and ended up saving myself AND walking out completely satisfied. As soon as I got it home I swapped the strings for a set of folk silk/steel EJ40s and it plays even better than the one in the store.

We got this guitar as a gift for one of my guys who was retiring. It came very well packaged. The case was first class. But what impressed me the most was the pure tone and feel of the guitar. It was warm, but had both the highs and low end that made it great for sitting around and playing. We went ahead and put his favorite strings on and made a very slight nut adjustment and it now sounds and feels like an instrument costing 3 to 4X more. The new owner is a bug dude, and we were a little concerned about the size, but it was great. Thanks Sweetwater for being who you are, and providing such great service in making the world a better sounding place.

It is a Martin. Of course it is good. I got it for banging around on the porch during get togethers, but it just follows me around the house like a lost puppy wanting to be played with. I am not much of a musician, but can play enough to jam with anyone. This little guitar has tons of dynamics in its soul. From using finger picking, heavy flat picks, to lighter picks it really has a broad range of response.

Cowboy chords, cool bluesy things, and even pounding it with grunge/punk things. It covers it without farting out. Haven't plugged it in yet.

I recently purchased the CF Martin Shawn Mendes 000JR-10E guitar. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound of this guitar. I knew the quality was there because of being a Martin but was unsure of the tones and volumes of this smaller size guitar. It has way more volume you would expect from a smaller version of a 000 sized guitar. The tones both high and low are pleasantly there also. This guitar is PERFECT for sitting on the couch, on the road, or the next camping/beach trip. It's very comfortable to play no matter what style you play. The quality of the guitar is way better than what you would expect from a $ dollar instrument. I would HIGHLY recommend this guitar for anyone who is just learning to play, or anyone who writes music, or just relaxing around the house. You will not regret your purchase. I recently purchased the Shawn Mendes signature 000JR-110E. I sure was pleasantly surprised the sound and playability of this small bodied guitar. I actually wasn't expecting too much as far as the sound at this price point, boy was I wrong. This guitar sounds really good. It's easy to play. Very well built. The looks of the guitar is really pleasing to the eyes. Best of all it is a ALL SOLID WOODS guitar with no laminates used. As a bonus a very nice gig bag comes with the guitar. Looking forward to many hours playing this guitar. I would HIGHLY recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a small bodied guitar, all solid wood construction. You can't beat this price with the quality of this Martin guitar. It is worth every dollar spent on this model.

Been playing 25 years, in bands or jamming. Used to high end gear. I wanted a smaller acoustic to play around the house and sitting out back. Knowing me I'm not going to be satisfied with a 200 guitar so I decided on a lower cost Martin. First off it's made of solid wood, not laminate...thats huge. Spruce top, ebony board, just quality tonewoods throughout. I had it set up to my personal specs, lowered the action and put in a bone saddle but the bone part probably wasn't necessary, I just like the way it looks. This guitar punches way above its weight class. Sounds amazing and feels great. I didn't even and still don't know who Shawn Mendes is so that was not a factor in choosing this guitar. One thing I was really surprised at was how well it sounds plugged in. I'm not planning to use it plugged in but tried it anyway and sounded really nice.

This little guitar does exactly what I need it to do. I have 2 other Martin Guitars , a D28 and a M36. These are my gigging guitars. My new 10e stays at home for my practice at home. This is a good tool.

First of all, my apologies to Shawn Mendes. I had never heard of him prior to this. And to be honest, his signature had nothing to do with my purchase. But kudos to him for partnering with Martin to create what I feel should be the standard 000JR-10 model. Secondly, the 5 star rating is a reflection of my overall satisfaction and my impression of the guitar relative to the catagory it fits within. Having said that, the features offered at this price level are what attracted me. The all wood construction and scalloped bracing give this guitar a surprisingly full tone with plenty of sustain for such a small platform. The scaled down body and neck make it ultra comfortable to play. The ebony fingerboard and bridge are an added bonus. But, probably my favorite features are the aging toner and binding around the spruce top which give the guitar a classic look. As for the electronics, I am playing it mainly unplugged. I did try it through my Fishman Loudbox Mini, and the tone control didn't seem to offer a wide range of adjustment. Fortunately, the amp provides plenty of that. From beginners to pros to collectors, this guitar could fit into anyone's arsenal.
