Hello! I'm Spencer, and I've been passionate about music my entire life. After I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a double major, I got deeply involved in the music industry in various positions - performer, engineer, sound designer, and producer are just some of the roles I've played.
My wide variety of intense experience has given me the perspective to know the production of all things audio from every side, and it is with this perspective that I came to Sweetwater. We pride ourselves as genuinely caring about each and every customer, and I am no exception. I have one goal: to help you find exactly what will benefit you the most. Where are you from originally?
Holliston, MA. It's a little town about 25 miles west of Boston. Moved to Fort Wayne from Los Angeles though.

What was your occupation before coming to Sweetwater?
Audiobook engineer and video game sound designer.

Technical strengths:
I particularly excel in all things electronic music, whether it be synthesizers, plug-ins, or drum machines. I have also worked extensively with complex Pro Tools-oriented systems, built custom computers, scored commercials and video games, and done tons more on the technical side of music.

Trumpet, piano, and a little guitar (getting better every day!)

Besides loving all things music, I am an avid reader, paintballer, beer snob, car lover, video gamer, and dungeon master.

Real-life hero:
My father. He was deeply involved in the music industry himself, and he has always made a positive impact on people. He has always inspired me with his integrity and work ethic, and I aspire to become as good and wise a person as he is.

What do you enjoy most about being part of the Sweetwater team?
Everyone here comes from an interesting background in music, and is thoroughly professional and pleasurable to work with. Having such a varied team focused on audio and gear means that there is inevitably someone here more experienced in a particular area than I am, and I love that! There's always something to learn.

Sweetwater did an excellent job with my order. Anyone can provide a competitive price and ship an order once it is placed, but how many retailers take the time to find out if what you're buying is the right product? As it happens, I did choose the right synth for my needs- but my sales rep Spencer Kennedy took the time to confirm my research and clear up some questions. Spencer was the first sales representative I've ever spoken with that knew exactly the problems I was facing with my audio recordings. He walked me through his highest recommendations for future purchases and I ended up buying a different set of headphones than I intended to because I could tell he is trustworthy. Most music stores I have been in have rarely had someone with enough experience to make suggestions. Spencer was extremely understanding and I told my wife after talking with him that I would never make another pro audio purchase without calling sweetwater if I could.
