My name is Nathan Hutson, but everybody calls me Nate. I am a classically trained violinist and I've played for over 20 years. During my freshman year of high school, I branched out from classical music and began to play popular songs "by ear" on the violin. At the beginning of my junior year of high school, I decided to start recording myself playing the violin along to these songs and started a YouTube channel. As I continued to progress, I became more interested in the recording process and made small upgrades to my personal setup. At the end of my senior year of high school, I decided to attend Montana State University and went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Music Technology. While attending Montana State, I worked for the School of Music as a computer lab monitor and live recording engineer. My role involved recording and digitally mastering over 50 concerts yearly, and this further increased my abilities in the studio/live environment. In addition, I completed a 10-week live sound internship in Big Sky, MT for the Music in the Mountains concert series. Today, I still produce/mix/master music and play the violin in my spare time. Music is one of the greatest gifts the world has to offer, and I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by those who love it as much as I do.

What in your background prepared you most to help your customers with their audio needs?
My experience using recording equipment in a studio environment and my past job as a technical CSR have combined allowing me to be knowledgeable and helpful at the same time.

I purchased a Martin GPCX1RAE and it has fantastic sound. I own several other acoustic/electric guitars but I must say that I really like the sound of this Martin guitar. Nate, my sales engineer was great! He called me right away after I placed my order to go over it with me as I had noted that I wanted the guitar set up with little to no fret buzz and ready to play. It arrived just as I asked........ready to play. I am very pleased with my new Martin guitar and with the help and professionalism of Nate, my sales engineer. I will definately purchase from Sweetwater in the future. By the way, the candy that you put in the shipping carton is a nice touch too! Very few company’s have great customer service today, but Sweetwater is a company who takes care of their customers! Much appreciated!
