Justin Vu
Justin Vu
Hi, I’m Justin Vu, a passionate guitarist and Sales Engineer at Sweetwater. My journey in music began at the age of 11, when I first picked up the guitar. I was immediately hooked. My guitar teacher introduced me to "Smoke on the Water" as my first song, and it felt like an impossible challenge at the time. But as I progressed, I realized that music was my true calling, and I knew it would shape my career.
My musical background spans a wide range, from classical and jazz guitar studies to audio production and recording arts. I’ve spent years honing my craft, diving into music theory, harmony, and composition to continually improve my guitar technique. While I appreciate all kinds of music, my roots run deep in the heavier side of the spectrum.
Alongside my love for guitar, I’m an avid gear enthusiast. My fascination with the latest innovations in musical equipment has played a pivotal role in my work at Sweetwater. The foundation of my career here is built on my curiosity and excitement for discovering new gear and technologies.
Outside of music, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, gaming, fashion, and fitness. Music and creativity are my driving forces, but I also value balance and the opportunities to explore other passions in life.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

Where are you from originally?
Originally from Sterling, Virginia, I spent most of my life there before making the move to Fort Wayne. While I definitely miss home and take every opportunity to visit, Fort Wayne has been nothing short of welcoming. Since arriving, I've truly found my place and my calling, and it’s become a city that feels like home in its own special way.

Why did you first apply for a job at Sweetwater?
I’ve been a customer at Sweetwater for a long time, and I could tell from the start that it was different, especially after working with my sales engineer. I’ve always loved what this company does, and it’s honestly been a dream of mine to be a part of the team.

Other stuff we should know about you (hobbies, talents, interests, etc.):
I’m really into food and love exploring different cuisines—cooking is one of my go-to hobbies. Fashion’s a big thing for me too; I believe in dressing well and feeling good - don't ask me about my cologne collection. I’m also into fitness because I value health over wealth. When I’m not cooking, practicing, working out, or adding a few new pieces to my wardrobe, you can find me at a karaoke bar with my friends.
