Hey! My name is Josh Pippin and I am excited to be a part of your musical journey.
Growing up in Tennessee, I have always been surrounded by great music. My favorite childhood memories include my Grandpa picking his Martin and hearing my Mom give piano lessons. I have been making some form of music since I received my first guitar at age 6. Throughout school I was always practicing instruments whether it was trumpet for marching band or guitar for a variety of local acts. One of my bands decided to track a demo and I instantly fell in love with the art of music production.
I have been recording and producing music for over 10 years now. It started as a childhood dream and evolved into my profession. Along the way I have had a chance to learn from some of the best in the business. I have professional experience working in the studio environment for film post-production, orchestral recording, and mixing. I have worked live sound in most of the major venues in Nashville. And I have also worked as a freelance recording and mixing engineer doing everything from hip-hop to bluegrass.
I have experience working on API, SSL, AVID, Allen & Heath, and Yamaha consoles. I love the sound of outboard equipment (Tubes Rule!). I have years of experience recording and mixing in Pro Tools. And I have been using Ableton Live for producing and performing since my first macbook.
I understand the challenges you face as a musician. And I am confident with my experience and resources we will find a solution for any of your music needs.
